Our Core Montessori Principles and Teaching Approach
We don't just teach, we follow the child. Our principles are rooted in fostering natural independence, curiosity, and a deep sense of responsibility within each student.
About Our Guiding Principles
You will not find rows of desks or rigid, lecture-based learning here. Instead, you will see children choosing their own work from low, open shelves, carefully handling real materials like glass cups or sandpaper letters, and staying focused for long periods without interruption. This is how we build deep concentration and internal discipline, allowing your child to learn at their own pace rather than keeping up with an arbitrary curriculum.
A Prepared Environment for Development
Our classroom in BTM Layout is not just a room with toys. It is a carefully prepared environment designed to inspire independence. Every material, from the Pink Tower to our math bead chains, has a specific purpose. We ensure that everything is child-sized and accessible, which empowers your child to choose, work, and clean up after themselves without constantly needing an adult to step in.
The Power of Mixed-Age Groups
Unlike traditional schools that separate kids strictly by birth year, we embrace mixed-age groupings. You will see a four-year-old helping a two-year-old with a task, or a younger child observing a peer work on a complex puzzle. This dynamic naturally fosters empathy, leadership, and social grace. Older children solidify their own understanding by teaching others, while younger children gain confidence by watching their peers.
Observation Over Instruction
My role as a directress is not to stand at the front and deliver instructions. It is to observe. We watch how each child interacts with the environment, what sparks their interest, and where they might need gentle guidance. By stepping back, we allow the child to discover solutions for themselves, which is the only way to truly build long-term problem-solving skills.
Preparing for What Comes Next
Parents often ask if a Montessori foundation prepares children for mainstream schooling like CBSE, ICSE, or IB boards. The answer is yes. By the time our students graduate, they are not just academically ready; they are emotionally self-regulated, independent thinkers who know how to manage their time and work with focus. They have the internal drive to succeed in any system they step into later.
Ayelet Montessori
I am Falak, and I started Ayelet because I wanted a space that felt less like a school and more like a second home. My team and I are dedicated to watching, listening, and guiding your child’s unique journey, making sure they feel seen, heard, and truly capable every single day.
