Daily Moments and Student Life at Ayelet Montessori
Candid glimpses into our BTM Layout classroom, where independence, focus, and empathy grow through everyday play.
A quiet moment of circle time. This is where we come together as a community to share stories, sing songs, and practice grace and courtesy. Every voice matters here.
"See Falak, what I made!" This child, working with magnetic objects, created her own "basketball hoop." This is the magic of an authentic Montessori environment, where creativity and discovery are celebrated.
About Daily Moments at Ayelet
These images are the rhythm of our school, not staged photos. You will see children moving from intense individual focus to collaborative group circles where they practice grace, courtesy, and active listening. It is in these unscripted moments, from a child building their own game to learning how to sit quietly with peers, that independence and empathy truly take root.
At Ayelet, we believe the most important lessons happen in the spaces between formal activities. When you look through these photos, you are seeing the 'prepared environment' in action. Whether it is a child discovering the magnetic properties of gears to build a 'basketball hoop' or the quiet concentration during a group circle time, these interactions are the heart of our Montessori practice.
Our mixed-age classroom, serving children from 18 months to 6 years in BTM Layout, is designed to foster this natural development. Older children naturally mentor the younger ones, and the younger ones learn by observing and following. We do not rush this process. By allowing children to choose their work and move at their own pace, we cultivate a sense of ownership over their learning.
We focus on the whole child. While you will see academic materials, you will also see life skills being practiced, from cleaning up after a task to resolving simple conflicts with friends. The quiet confidence you see in these images comes from a foundation of safety and respect. We invite you to visit us during school hours, step into our environment, and see how this authentic, child-led approach shapes the early years.
Ayelet Montessori
I am Falak, and I started Ayelet to be more than just a school—it is a home where kids feel safe to explore. I believe in following each child's individual path rather than forcing a set curriculum, and these daily moments are exactly why I do what I do.
