Ashtanga Yoga Coaching for Your Real Life
Yoga that fits your schedule, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner. I guide you through Ashtanga, making practice sustainable and personal, even when life gets messy.
This is Eka Pada Rajakapotasana, or One-Legged King Pigeon Pose, captured at a temple in Hampi. For me, yoga is not just about the physical shape. It is about where you place your attention. This practice is a form of deep concentration, a way to connect with your body and mind, and find stillness even in the most challenging postures.
This is what my practice looks like now, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Holding my daughter while in Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana shows how yoga adapts to life. Motherhood has taught me that balance is not just about holding a pose, but about integrating my practice into my life as a new mom.
A private session is about partnership. Here, I am providing a hands-on adjustment to help a student safely deepen their pose. This is where the real work happens, with undivided attention and guidance that helps you understand the mechanics of your own body and move past your perceived limits.
A glimpse into my short, sometimes messy, but always essential home practice. Life as a mom means I don't always have hours to spare, but consistency is what matters. This is the reality of fitting yoga into life, not the other way around.
This is what my online Mysore-style classes look like. Through Zoom, I can offer personalized cues and support to students anywhere in the world. It is a powerful way to stay connected to a community and receive individual guidance, even from your own home.
A moment of peace and gratitude during my pregnancy. Practicing yoga while expecting my daughter was a profound experience that taught me so much about listening to my body. It is a journey I am passionate about guiding other mothers through.
Working on Karandavasana, an advanced arm balance that requires immense strength and focus. This pose has been a long journey for me, especially while rebuilding my practice postpartum. It is a reminder that yoga is a process of patient, dedicated effort, not a race to a destination.
Sometimes you don't have the energy to practice "perfectly" or "correctly". That is okay. The most important step is just to begin as you are. As a teacher, I am here to help you find your own pace and guide you back to your practice, no matter where you are starting from.
About Featured
My approach is not about rigid perfection. Whether you join me on Zoom or we work in-person in Delhi, we focus on understanding the technique behind the poses. I help you build a practice that works with your current reality, including postpartum recovery, busy schedules, or specific injuries, so you can show up for yourself, even when you only have a short amount of time.
Why My Approach Matters
Yoga is often marketed as this picture-perfect discipline, but my practice is quite different. It is often short, squeezed in between parenting duties, and deeply human. I teach Mysore-style Ashtanga, which means we move away from copying movements and toward understanding the 'why' behind each asana. My goal is to equip you with the knowledge to manage your own practice.
How We Work Together
- Online Coaching: We use Zoom for live 120-minute sessions. I provide verbal technical corrections, alignment cues, and focused attention on your drishti (gaze) and breath count. This works perfectly if you are abroad or just prefer the comfort of your own home.
- In-Person (Delhi/Noida): For local clients, I bring hands-on adjustments and physical spotting to your home or studio. This is particularly useful if you are working on advanced postures like drop-backs or headstands and need tactile feedback to break through mental or physical blocks.
Tailored For You
I specialize in working with absolute beginners who are starting from scratch, as well as experienced practitioners who feel stuck. Having navigated my own C-section recovery, I offer a compassionate, safe space for new moms to reconnect with their bodies without the pressure to 'bounce back.' If you are dealing with pain or recovering from an injury, we use yoga as therapy, using props like blocks and straps to make the practice sustainable. Let's strip away the fluff and build a practice that serves your life, not the other way around.
Tanya Lymar
I am Tanya, a yogi and mom who learned that the most important practice is not the perfect one, but the one you actually do. I help students in Delhi and online move beyond just copying poses, teaching you how to listen to your body and find balance in the chaos.
