Yoga isn't just about perfect poses or quiet studios. Sometimes, it is about squeezing in movement between naps and diaper changes. I am here to help you navigate your own post-partum journey with a practice that actually fits your life.

This is what my practice looks like now, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Holding my daughter while in Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana shows how yoga adapts to life. Motherhood has taught me that balance is not just about holding a pose, but about integrating my practice into my life as a new mom.

My daughter is my favorite yoga partner. Here she is, making an appearance while I practice Hanumanasana, or the splits. This is the reality of a home practice with a little one, full of joy and unexpected moments.

A moment of peace and gratitude during my pregnancy. Practicing yoga while expecting my daughter was a profound experience that taught me so much about listening to my body. It is a journey I am passionate about guiding other mothers through.

The first month with my daughter. This time transformed everything I thought I knew about myself and my practice. It was a period of deep connection and learning to care for someone more important than myself.

A simple, unposed moment of joy with my daughter, Emi. Motherhood is not always a serene journey, but moments like this make every effort worthwhile. This is real life, away from the yoga mat.

A sweet kiss for my little one. These candid moments are the ones I cherish most. They are a reminder of the love that fuels my life and my practice.

My family, my support system. My husband and daughter are my greatest teachers. Returning to teaching and practicing after my C-section was crucial for my mental and physical well being, and their support made it possible.

Motherhood is the most challenging and rewarding "asana" I have ever practiced. This video is a collection of moments from my first year as a mom, from quiet cuddles to practicing with my daughter nearby.

My home practice after returning from a trip to Bangkok. Just when I thought I would have a quiet session, my little one crawled over to join me. She makes life less serious and reminds me to smile.

This is home practice as it is. Sometimes it involves more playing with my daughter than actual asanas, and that is perfectly fine.

About Yoga for Motherhood

My own return to the mat began five weeks after my C-section, and it looked nothing like my pre-baby routine. We focus on listening to your body’s specific signals rather than forcing shapes. Whether you are recovering from childbirth or just looking for a moment of quiet, I help you build a sustainable rhythm that adapts to your reality, not the other way around.

The biggest misconception about postpartum yoga is that you need an hour of uninterrupted silence to make it count. My approach is different. When we work together, we prioritize what your body actually needs, whether that means working through C-section recovery, soothing pelvic floor tension, or simply finding the mental space to breathe.

My practice is rooted in the Ashtanga system, but I adapt every sequence to match where you are today. If you are exhausted and can only manage 15 minutes, we do 15 minutes. If you are ready for a stronger flow, we build up to it safely.

How We Approach Postpartum Recovery

  • Foundation First: We start with gentle alignment work, prioritizing core engagement and breath awareness before jumping into complex postures.
  • Online or In-Person: I offer 1-on-1 coaching via Zoom for those needing flexibility, and in-person sessions across Delhi for those who prefer tactile, hands-on adjustments.
  • Personalized Pacing: There is no 'standard' recovery timeline. We move at your pace, adjusting sequences based on your energy levels, mood, and any physical limitations.

Yoga should be a tool that supports your life as a mother, not another source of pressure. We will explore how to integrate movement into your day, making your mat a place of restoration rather than another task on your to-do list.

I’m Tanya. Motherhood flipped my life upside down, teaching me that yoga is less about the perfect posture and more about the breath you take when things get chaotic. I help new moms find their strength again with patience and zero judgment.
