My Yoga Philosophy and Practice
Here is a glimpse into what drives my practice—a mix of disciplined, Mysore-trained foundations and the freedom to just be myself on the mat.
My 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Mysore was a deep dive into the heart of yoga. This video captures the essence of that transformative experience, from early morning asana practice and philosophy lessons to the incredible community I found. This journey is the foundation of how I teach today.
Finding balance, one stone at a time. For me, yoga is about creating moments of focus and stillness, whether on the mat or by a stream in the Himalayas. This practice of mindfulness is something I bring into every class.
A moment of pure joy amidst the tea gardens of Munnar. My practice is rooted in finding this kind of simple happiness and connection, embracing the world around us with an open heart.
Taking a quiet moment to connect and just be. This is the goal of our breathwork in class, to find that inner peace you can carry with you long after you've rolled up your mat.
About Featured
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all yoga. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refine your flow, my sessions are built around your energy level that day. I use detailed verbal cues and hands-on adjustments to ensure you are practicing safely, not just copying a shape I am making on the mat.
Moving with Intention
My 200-hour teacher training in Mysore shifted how I look at movement. It was not about hitting the perfect handstand or being the most flexible person in the room. It was about understanding why we move and how to breathe through the tough spots. My classes are a space where you can leave the perfectionism at the door.
What Happens in a Session
Whether we are working together online or at your home in Bangalore, the focus stays on your body and your breath:
- Personalized Flows: I mix Hatha and Vinyasa styles based on how you feel. Some days we need intensity to build strength; other days we need restorative poses to calm the mind.
- Breathwork: We always lead with the breath. If you are struggling with stress or just need to clear your head, our Pranayama exercises are designed to help you find that quiet, centered space.
- Real Adjustments: For in-person sessions across Bangalore, I provide hands-on tactile corrections to help you deepen your stretches safely. For virtual classes, I use precise verbal cues so you get the same alignment support via Zoom or Google Meet.
Yoga as a Daily Tool
I incorporate bits of philosophy into our sessions because I want yoga to be something you carry with you, not just something you do for 60 minutes. My goal is to help you build actual strength and find the stillness you need to navigate the rest of your day.
