When you look at a jewelry shot, you want to see the texture of the gold, the clarity of the stone, and the craft behind the design. My process starts long before the camera shutter clicks. We begin with a deep dive into your brand identity, mood boarding the right atmosphere to ensure the photos match your vision.

For high-precision pieces like diamond rings or emerald necklaces, I use a Hasselblad medium format system. This setup captures immense detail, which is crucial for billboard or high-end catalogue printing. My technique involves focus stacking, where I merge multiple exposures to ensure the entire piece is sharp from the front gem to the back clasp.

My approach shifts depending on the goal:

• Model-Based Campaigns: For brands like Solitario Diamonds, I work with models to create a lifestyle context. Here, the challenge is balancing skin tones and expressions with the jewelry. We use studio lighting to maintain the sparkle while keeping the portraits natural and emotive.

• Product-Focused Flat Lays: For intricate pieces like those I shot for PNG Adgil and Sons, the focus is on composition and color. I work with stylists to create arrangements using props that complement the metal work, ensuring the jewelry remains the hero of the frame.

In both cases, we handle the production from start to finish. I bring in professional stylists and makeup artists who understand how to complement the jewelry, not overpower it. Whether we are shooting in my Pune studio or on location, the goal is always the same: images that move the viewer from just looking to actually wanting the piece.
