Mindful Yoga Retreats and Spiritual Journeys in Nature
I believe nature is our greatest healer. From the snow-clad peaks of Auli to the divine energy of Badrinath, these are glimpses from our mindful retreats where yoga meets the raw, authentic beauty of our land.
At the holy Badrinath Dham, one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in our country. It was a blessing to be in the presence of Baba Badrinath and feel the divine energy of this place.
A quiet morning moment in Auli, enjoying a cup of tea while gazing at the magnificent snow-clad peaks of the Himalayas. Nature is the greatest teacher and healer.
Standing on the balcony in Auli, taking in the vastness of the Himalayan range. I encourage everyone to explore the beauty of our own nation first.
A panoramic video showcasing the stunning mountain views from our stay in Auli. The clear blue sky and the sun shining on the peaks create a truly heavenly scene.
The vibrant wildflowers of Auli with the majestic Nanda Devi range in the background. I believe such places in India are more beautiful than any foreign destination.
The rustic and charming wooden cottages where we stayed in Auli. Being close to nature is an essential part of the retreat experience.
The adventurous and rugged roads on the way to Auli. The journey through these mountains, with their dramatic rock faces and stunning vistas, is an experience in itself.
A moment of quiet contemplation in a garden in Rishikesh. My life's purpose is to serve humanity through the path of yoga, and I am grateful for every opportunity to do so.
About Additional Glimpses
We keep these retreats small and intentional, not luxury-focused, because the goal is connection—with the mountains, with yourself, and with a small community of like-minded travelers. Whether it is a rustic wooden cottage in Auli or a temple stay in Nepal, expect home-style vegetarian meals, early morning pranayama in open meadows, and genuine conversation, not five-star amenities.
I often tell my students that travel should not just be about sightseeing; it should be an act of 'seva' (service) for your own soul. These retreats are designed to help you leave behind the tanaav of daily life and return to a state of balance.
What to Expect
We do not just practice asanas. Our daily routine involves 90 minutes of Hatha or Power Yoga in the morning, followed by meditation and 'Manipura Dhyan' to build internal confidence. We practice in open, natural settings—on riverbanks or alpine meadows—because fresh air is essential for deep breathing. Evenings are reserved for Satsang, philosophy, and chanting, where we discuss how to apply yogic principles to real-life challenges.
Our Travel Philosophy
We avoid the tourist traps. When we visit places like Badrinath or the heritage sites of Nepal, we go as pilgrims. You will find that our accommodations are simple, clean, and comfortable, but we prioritize the 'experience' of the location over luxury. Expect some trekking, uneven paths, and weather that changes quickly. This is where the real work happens—stepping out of your comfort zone is part of the journey.
Logistics & Planning
- Small Groups: We maintain intimate group sizes so I can provide personal guidance to each participant.
- All-Inclusive: Our domestic packages include transport from Delhi, 3-star equivalent stays, and full-board vegetarian meals.
- Authentic Immersion: Whether it is a trek to a high-altitude temple or a quiet moment of reflection by the Ganges, the itinerary is crafted to help you detach from the digital world and reconnect with your antaratma (inner self).
Sunil Maan
Namaskar, I am Yogacharya Sunil Maan. I started these retreats because I saw how much stress we carry in our daily lives and realized that a change of environment, combined with ancient yogic practices, is the best remedy. Join me as we leave the chaos behind to rediscover balance in nature.
