Exploring the Iyengar tradition through alignment, intentional prop use, and immersive retreats, designed for sincere students seeking clarity.

Here, I am demonstrating Utthita Trikonasana, or Triangle Pose, using a chair and ropes to help deepen the stretch and maintain correct alignment. This is a core principle of Iyengar yoga, where props assist in exploring the asana safely.

This is our Prashant Yogashraya Ramanagara Centre, a place for total immersion in yoga. The collage shows our serene practice hall, the natural surroundings, a group of dedicated students, and a glimpse into our prop-based practice.

In this clip, I explain the correct approach to Vrikshasana, or Tree Pose. It is not just about balance, but about proper hip opening and foundation, which takes years of dedicated practice in preparatory asanas like Siddhasana.

Practicing a variation of Eka Pada Sirsasana under the watchful eye of Guruji. This pose requires significant hip flexibility and core strength, developed through consistent and mindful practice.

Personal attention is key in my classes. Here, I am assisting a student in a seated forward bend using a chair, ensuring she gets the maximum benefit from the pose without strain.

A wonderful group of students from a workshop at the Iyengar Yoga Center in Lima, Peru. It is a blessing to share this practice with sincere practitioners across the globe.

An announcement for our upcoming International Yoga Festival. These multi-day events are an opportunity for immersive practice, cultural programs, and learning within a small, focused group.

This video shows a supported backbend using a chair and wall ropes. This method allows the spine to open up gradually and safely, making the benefits of deep backbends accessible to more students.

About Featured

You will notice a recurring theme in my approach: the use of props not as crutches, but as essential tools to unlock deeper postures. Whether you are in my Jayanagar shala or at the Ramanagara nature centre, the focus remains on understanding your own alignment, not on performing for the camera. My classes are structured to guide you step-by-step, regardless of your current experience level.
