I have had the privilege of sharing the teachings of Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar with students in studios from San Antonio to Geneva. These moments capture our international intensives, where we focus on precision, the intelligent use of props, and the joy of honest practice.

A wonderful group of practitioners at the Yoga Kurunta studio in San Antonio, Texas. It is always a joy to connect with the global Iyengar community.

A deep hip-opening pose, Eka Pada Sirsasana, demonstrated during the workshop in Nice, France.

At Yoga Shala Arles in the South of France, demonstrating Utthita Trikonasana with the help of a wall rope to enhance the extension of the spine.

Guiding a student through a seated twist at the Iyengar Yoga Center in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, France.

A class in Geneva, Switzerland, at Yoga-dea-Bains, where students are learning a supported restorative backbend using chairs and bolsters.

Demonstrating a variation of Parivrtta Parsvakonasana (Revolved Side Angle Pose) with a chair during a workshop in the US.

A moment of focus during a workshop at Samamkaya Yoga in New York, demonstrating a seated twist.

About Global Workshops

While the geography changes, the work remains the same. Whether we are in a studio in San Antonio or a shala in Arles, my approach stays anchored in the Iyengar method. You will find me using the same metal chairs, ropes, and wall supports I use at my Bangalore shala to help you find stability, because distance does not change the requirement for precision in your alignment.

Consistency Across Continents

Yoga is not about the location, it is about the attention you bring to your asana. When I travel for workshops in countries like Switzerland, France, or the United States, I do not change my teaching style to suit a local trend. I bring the discipline of Prashant Yogashraya with me.

My workshops are characterized by a steady pace. We spend time on the basics, refining standing poses, and using props to unlock the body. If you are accustomed to fast-paced or superficial classes, you might find my approach surprising. We take our time. We observe. We correct.

What to Expect at a Workshop

  • Deep Dive into Props: You will see me use chairs, bricks, and belts to make complex postures accessible. This is not for ease. It is to create the right conditions for your muscles and joints to work correctly.
  • Personal Attention: Even in a group setting, I aim to watch every student. I provide adjustments that are meant to deepen your understanding of the pose, not just to fix your posture.
  • Philosophy and Practice: We do not just do asanas. We discuss the intention behind the practice, staying true to what Guruji taught me.

Who Should Attend

These sessions are open to those with a sincere wish to learn. While some advanced workshops require a foundation in Iyengar yoga, many of my international intensives welcome dedicated students who are ready to work hard. Bring your mat, your curiosity, and a willingness to be challenged.

I am a student of Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar, and my life's work is to share the practice exactly as he taught me. I bring the same discipline I practice at my Bangalore shala, Prashant Yogashraya, to every workshop I host, whether it is down the street or halfway across the world.
