Strength Training Lessons from the Competition Floor
From National Powerlifting stages to the CrossFit leaderboard, this is where I test my limits. Here is how I translate that competitive experience into training that works for you.
A video from my first Powerlifting Nationals, where I secured a silver medal. This was a huge achievement, lifting 32.5 kgs more than my previous competition. It shows the power of disciplined coaching and a supportive team.
My first raw powerlifting experience at the State Open Championship, where I placed second. Showing up and putting your training to the test is a victory in itself.
A powerful deadlift captured at the WPC Karnataka State Championship. The atmosphere of a competition pushes you to find a new level of strength.
Celebrating with my team at the finish line of Hyrox Delhi. This event tests every aspect of fitness and is an incredible experience of endurance and teamwork.
About On the Competition Floor
Competing at the national level taught me one crucial thing: the magic isn't in the heavy PRs you see on stage. It is in the months of boring, repetitive movement prep and strict discipline that happen long before the lights go on. When I coach, we skip the fluff and bring that same level of technical precision to your workout, regardless of whether you're training for a specific sport or just your own personal best.
Whether it’s the adrenaline of a WPC Karnataka State Championship or the endurance required at a Hyrox finish line, competing has shaped how I approach fitness coaching. I’ve been on both sides of the barbell, as a student learning mechanics and as a competitor putting them to the test under pressure.
My competitive background in powerlifting and CrossFit isn't just about medals. It is about understanding the human body’s capacity for growth. When we train together, we use principles like progressive overload and macro-based nutrition, but we ground them in the reality of being a human, not a robot. If you’re dealing with a past injury or just feeling intimidated by the gym environment, I know exactly where you’re coming from because I have lived it.
We will focus on:
- Technical Mastery: Perfecting your squat, bench, and deadlift mechanics to build safety and real strength.
- Mindset & Consistency: Treating every session as a victory, not just a chore.
- Functional Fitness: Building a body that performs well in the gym and in real life, using CrossFit-inspired training blocks.
If you are ready to stop guessing and start training with a clear, proven method, let’s get to work.
