Authentic Andhra Home-Style Meals and Signature Biryanis
Bringing the comfort of traditional Andhra and Hyderabadi flavours to your table, prepared fresh at home with family recipes.
A look at my special festival meal thali. It’s a complete spread with pulihora, white rice, sambar, dal, crispy vadas, fresh curd, and a sweet pongal to finish the meal, just like a festive feast at home.
My homemade Chicken Kebab Biryani, plated and ready to be enjoyed. I make it with fragrant basmati rice, tender chicken kebabs, and a blend of spices, served with traditional mirchi ka salan and cooling raita.
This is my personal favorite, the authentic Nellore Chepala Pulusu. It's a tangy and spicy fish curry made with a special blend of spices that gives it that true Nellore flavor.
This is what my typical homemade veg meal box looks like. Here I have my Gongura meal maker curry, Pappucharu (a tangy lentil soup), homemade papads for crunch, fluffy white rice, and fresh curd.
A close-up of my Gutti Vankaya, a classic Andhra dish of tender brinjals stuffed with a flavorful peanut and spice masala, slow-cooked in a rich gravy.
My spicy and succulent Chicken Kebab, fried with fresh curry leaves until perfectly cooked. It's a popular starter for parties or a great side with any meal.
Here’s a glimpse of a birthday party order I prepared. This spread included large portions of Bagara Rice, mutton curry, chicken fry, and a vegetable kurma to cater to all the guests.
I love when my customers enjoy the food. Here is some wonderful feedback I received for my Nellore style Chepala Pulusu.
About Featured
Every dish shown here is prepared fresh to order, not cooked in bulk or stored for days. If you prefer your Nellore fish curry with a little less spice or need a specific onion-garlic-free meal for a pooja, just tell me when you place your order and I will adjust the recipe accordingly.
My kitchen is driven by one simple goal: to serve the authentic taste of home that is often missing in restaurant-style cooking. Whether you are looking for a comforting daily thali or a weekend treat, I focus on using family recipes passed down to ensure that genuine Andhra and Hyderabadi punch.
What I Prepare
My menu covers the full spectrum of home-style comfort. This includes our signature Nellore fish curry with its tangy tamarind base, rich Gongura chicken, and traditional vegetarian staples like Gutti Vankaya. For those days you want a proper feast, my Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani is slow-cooked with ghee and fresh spices, served just as we would for a Sunday lunch.
Tailored For You
I know that taste is personal. Some of you love the fiery heat of Andhra chili, while others prefer a milder balance. Because I run this as a home kitchen, I have the flexibility to tweak spice levels based on your preference.
Catering for Events
Beyond daily meals, I regularly cater for birthdays, poojas, and get-togethers for groups of up to 85 people. If you have an event coming up in or around KR Puram, I can curate a menu that works for you, including satvik options without onion and garlic. Since everything is made from scratch, I appreciate a little advance notice for larger orders to ensure the ingredients are fresh and the preparation is perfect.
Anu's Kitchen
