A Life in Flow: Behind the Scenes with Aniketh
Tech by day, flow artist by night. This is what it looks like when I swap the laptop for a staff or poi to find some headspace.
Took a break to just soak in the view from the mountains. Sometimes the best flow is just standing still and appreciating where you are.
Taking a moment to hang out with a friendly doggo during an outdoor practice session. Animals and nature are always part of the vibe.
A candid moment with a furry friend during a break at a flow fest. There's always time for dogs and snacks.
Another shot with my four legged friend. The chill, outdoor settings for our jams mean we often get some friendly visitors.
Just me and a very good boy enjoying the sunshine.
Found the clouds, but still searching for a good network signal. The struggle is real even when you're on top of the world.
A quiet moment on the beach. Paradise really is a state of mind.
Pausing for a quick pet. It's all about the good vibes.
About Just Vibing
You might catch me in these photos just chilling, but honestly, that is how I teach too. My workshops in Bengaluru are not about being a rigid instructor who expects perfection. If you are starting from zero, you will drop the prop, and that is completely fine. We laugh about it, pick it up, and get back to the movement. The real magic happens when you stop overthinking the technique and start feeling the rhythm of the spin.
A lot of people ask if they need to be 'artsy' or 'fit' to start flow arts. The answer is a hard no. Whether you are picking up poi, contact staff, or hoops, the goal is to get out of your head and into your body. My 4-week 'Zero to Flow' course is designed to take you from 'I have no coordination' to 'I can actually execute a sequence' in just a month. We start with basics like planes and grip techniques, but by the end of the month, you are choreographing your own movement.
For the fellow techies, think of it as debugging your movement patterns. We look at the biomechanics of how you hold the prop, identify where your momentum is leaking, and fix it. It is systematic, but it feels like play. If you prefer a one-off experience, the drop-in sessions are the best way to test the waters. We cover the foundational moves, blast some music, and usually end with a jam session that helps you let go of the day's stress. If you are in Bengaluru and need a break from the desk, this is your sign to join the crew.
