Nayaswami Jyotish and Devi performing a fire ceremony, or yagna, in the peaceful garden of our retreat. We offer mantras and intentions into the fire, symbolizing purification of the heart.
A large bonfire burns brightly during a ceremony. We use this sacred fire to symbolically cast away our attachments and desires, offering them to the eternal fire of AUM.
Our community gathered around a bonfire at night. These moments of shared ritual and chanting under the stars create a deep sense of spiritual connection and friendship.
A devotee participates in a purification ceremony during a Sunday satsang. This simple ritual is a powerful way to affirm our intention to release limitations and open to the Guru's grace.

We honor the sacred day Swami Kriyananda met his guru, Paramhansa Yogananda, with a discipleship ceremony. This event celebrates the eternal, life-transforming bond between guru and disciple.
Devotees gather for a purification ceremony at the Rotary Club. The act of coming forward is an outward expression of an inner desire for spiritual growth.

About Sacred Ceremonies & Pilgrimages
These events are more than rituals; they are meaningful steps in your personal sadhana. When we gather for a purification ceremony or a discipleship rite, it creates a powerful shared space where you can consciously release old limitations, align your intentions, and strengthen your commitment to the path of Kriya Yoga.
At the heart of our community are the sacred rites that mark our inner journey. Our fire ceremonies, or Yagna, are not about complex tradition but about the simple, profound act of surrender. Standing together, we offer our attachments and worries into the flame, using the chanting of mantras to clear the inner landscape. It is a tangible way to feel the weight of daily stress lift, providing clarity and peace that carries over into your week.
We hold these gatherings at our centers, such as the Rotary Club in Indiranagar, providing a safe, quiet container for this deep work. Beyond purification, we honor the sacred bond between seeker and Master through discipleship ceremonies. These events celebrate the life-changing decision to follow the path of Kriya Yoga, often held on anniversaries that have deep significance for our lineage. We also organize occasional pilgrimages to holy sites, allowing us to step away from the bustle of city life and walk in the footsteps of the great masters. These experiences, whether a few hours of satsang or a guided trip, are always grounded in the practical teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. We invite you to join us, not as a spectator, but as a participant in your own spiritual unfolding.
