Hanging upside down is surprisingly grounding. Let me help you find your balance, decompress your spine, and discover the joy of flying, no matter your current fitness level.

A classic supported inversion with legs in Baddha Konasana. This pose is deeply restorative and a favorite in my classes for releasing tension in the hips and lower back.

A supported handstand using the hammock is a great way to build the strength and confidence needed for the full floor-based pose. It takes the pressure off your neck and shoulders while still providing all the benefits.

Yes, men can and absolutely do enjoy aerial yoga. It's a fantastic practice for anyone looking to improve flexibility and core strength, especially for those who do intensive workouts like weightlifting.

This video shows a group of students practicing different variations of inversions. Notice how the hammock provides support at the hips, allowing for a safe and effective spinal stretch.

An inverted split is a beautiful expression of flexibility. The hammock allows you to ease into the stretch without forcing it, making deep hip opening more accessible.

This is an inverted butterfly pose, or Baddha Konasana. It's a wonderful hip opener and feels amazing on the lower back. The hammock cradles you, allowing for deep relaxation.

This flow demonstrates moving into and out of an inversion with control. Building this strength is a key part of our practice, ensuring you feel empowered and safe in the hammock.

A beautiful variation of an inverted pigeon pose. This provides a deep stretch for the glutes and piriformis muscle, which can help alleviate sciatic pain.

This artistic black and white shot captures the feeling of surrender in an inversion. It's a moment to let go, trust the hammock, and allow your body to release.

Holding an inverted bound angle pose. This is not just about flexibility, but also about finding stillness and peace while upside down.

About The Magic of Inversions

Most people walk in fearing the fall, but the hammock is incredibly stable. In my classes, I don't just watch from the sidelines. I am right there to spot you as you transition into your first inversion. We start with simple, supported poses that take the weight off your neck and shoulders, so you can actually feel the spinal decompression rather than worrying about your balance.

Why Invert?

Think of your spine as a stack of bricks. Over the day, gravity compresses them. When we invert, we reverse this process. In my studio, we use the Unnata aerial hammock to create space between the vertebrae. This isn't about acrobatics; it's about relief. Whether you have chronic back pain from sitting at a desk in DLF CyberHub or just want to feel lighter, this practice offers immediate physical feedback.

The Fear of Falling

I hear it all the time: 'But I'm not flexible' or 'I'm scared of hanging.' That's exactly why I keep my batches small, with a maximum of four students. I need to be able to guide you, adjust the hammock height to your comfort, and provide that extra hand when you need it. You are never left alone to figure out a pose. We move slowly, breath by breath, ensuring the trust between you and the silk is built before we ever lift your feet off the ground.

It’s Not Just for Athletes

Many men and women join thinking they need to be gym-fit first. The truth is, the hammock supports you. It helps you get into deeper stretches—like the inverted butterfly or pigeon pose—that might feel impossible on a flat mat.

Common things we work on:

  • Spinal Decompression: Letting gravity release neck and back tension.
  • Core Engagement: It’s a full-body workout that feels more like play.
  • Safe Learning: We follow the Unnata methodology, which prioritizes safety and correct alignment over flashy tricks.

Come as you are. Whether you're stiff, achy, or just curious, the hammock is waiting to hold you.
