Our bodies hold the stress of daily life, often manifesting as chronic fatigue or an overstimulated nervous system. These gentle, prop-supported postures are designed to release deep-seated tension, allowing you to rest, reset, and restore your natural vitality.

If you are feeling the weight of fatigue, your body is wisely asking for rest. In this video, I demonstrate a simple restorative yoga sequence using props for support. This practice helps to calm an overstimulated nervous system and gently open the heart, allowing your body to deeply rejuvenate.

My own mid week practice often includes restorative postures and deep breathing, or pranayama. Taking time to wind down with gentle movements like these shown in the video is key to maintaining energy and ease throughout the week.

About Restorative Yoga for Deep Relaxation

True restoration isn't about physical exercise; it's about giving your nervous system permission to fully switch off. In these sessions, we use bolsters, blocks, and blankets to hold the body in specific, supported postures. This allows the adrenals to quieten and the heart center to open, effectively helping your body release the tension it has been holding onto for weeks or even months.
