Learn Block Printing Online with Authentic Hand-Carved Kits
Master traditional Indian block printing from your living room. My online course includes a physical starter kit with real teak blocks and organic pigments, guided by live, hands-on sessions.
(Video) Inspired by the beautiful spring blooms in Bangalore, I created this DIY Toran kit. The video shows how you can create your own beautiful floral door hanging at home.
(Video) Here’s a peek inside one of my DIY block printing starter kits. It comes with everything you need, including hand-carved blocks, fabric, and my special in-house mixed inks.

About this collection
You don't need an art degree to get started. My online course is designed for total beginners, and when you sign up, I ship a physical starter kit directly to your doorstep so you aren't scrambling to find supplies. We focus on the doing—the messy, meditative process of aligning the block, applying pressure, and fixing small, natural errors—rather than achieving perfect, machine-made uniformity.
How We Learn Together
This isn't a passive video tutorial. It is a 4-week immersive module where we work in real-time. You will join live sessions on Zoom where I guide you through the basics of Indian block printing—from handling traditional teak wood blocks to mixing your own fabric-safe pigment colors.
What You Get
Every kit is packed by hand and shipped to your home. It includes:
- 2-3 Authentic hand-carved teak blocks (heritage motifs)
- Professional pigment dyes (skin-safe and sustainable)
- Practice fabric swatches and sponges
- A printing tray to get you started immediately
The 'Amoha' Philosophy
We embrace the smudge, the wonky line, and the variations in print pressure. That is what makes block printing a human craft, not a factory process. Throughout the course, we cover technique (border design, spacing, dual-color application) but also the 'why' behind the craft—its history and its role in sustainable textile design. Whether you want to upcycle your old t-shirts, create custom stationery, or just find a way to de-stress after a long day, this course gives you the tools to create art that carries meaning.
Amoha Prints
Hi, I'm Pooja. I started Amoha Prints because I believe art should be an experience that fills your home with stories, not just products. I’m here to teach you the messy, beautiful, thousand-year-old craft of block printing, helping you find your own creative rhythm.
