Bharatanatyam Performances and International Tours
My life as a dancer is a constant loop of rehearsals in Bangalore and stages across the globe. These photos capture the journey from intimate temple recitals to major concert halls in Canada and Europe.
Looking forward to my Canada tour! It's always exciting to plan performances and workshops in new cities like Edmonton, Calgary, and Toronto.

About On The Road: Performances & Travels
Whether I am performing a 90-minute traditional Margam or a short 20-minute highlight piece, the logistical preparation remains strict. I always arrive at least two hours early for a thorough sound check to ensure the acoustics match the venue, especially when I am touring with a live orchestra or using custom recorded tracks.
Dancing takes me far from my base in Bangalore, from local community halls in India to international stages. When you hire me for a performance, you are not just booking a dancer; you are bringing in a full production process that I have honed through my work with the Punyah Dance Company.
The Logistics of a Performance
When I perform at your event, I bring more than just choreography. I bring a standard of technical readiness.
- Sound & Tech: If you are booking a solo recital, I require a clear space for a sound check. If we are using a live orchestra, they need specific staging to ensure the mridangam and vocals carry properly.
- Adaptability: I perform everything from high-energy Thillanas for corporate events to full-length mythological storytelling for festivals. I can adapt my setlist based on your event's duration and the audience profile.
- International & Outstation Travel: I am comfortable traveling for performances across India and abroad. For outstation shows, please keep in mind that I require a travel lead time to manage the orchestra and costume logistics, which are integral to the presentation.
My goal is to make the performance seamless for the host. Whether it is a wedding, a cultural festival, or a private gathering, we will coordinate the lighting cues and sound requirements well in advance so that you can focus on the event itself. Let's discuss what fits your vision.
Adithya
I am Adithya, and I live for the stage. When I am not teaching at Punyah Dance Company in Bangalore, I am probably navigating airports or adjusting lighting cues for a performance somewhere across India or abroad.
