When the stage lights go down, the synergy begins. With my team at Punyah Dance Company, we bring stories to life through large-scale, high-energy Bharatanatyam productions that go beyond the solo experience.

A dramatic moment from 'Nagamandala', a production by Punyah Dance Company. The lighting here, a single beam, creates a powerful focal point in the story.

A synchronized pose from our production 'Abha'. Working as a group requires perfect timing and a deep understanding of each other's movements.

Another scene from 'Nagamandala', performed at the Aharya National Dance Festival. The costumes and movements evoke the mystical nature of the serpent.

A moment of dramatic tension from 'Abha', performed in Frankfurt. Taking our productions to Europe was a surreal and rewarding experience.

The dynamic formations in 'Abha' create beautiful visual patterns on stage. This was captured during our performance in Frankfurt.

An interactive moment between the three lead artists in 'Abha'. Group productions allow for rich character interactions and storytelling.

A black and white shot from 'Nagamandala', capturing a moment of surrender and power. The use of smoke adds to the ethereal atmosphere.

Another expressive black and white image from 'Nagamandala', focusing on the emotion conveyed through posture and light.

A scene from 'Abha' where the characters interact. The chemistry between the artists is crucial for a compelling group performance.

A complex formation from 'Nagamandala', showcasing the strength and balance of the dancers.

About Punyah Dance Company: Group Productions

What you see on stage is the final polish, but these productions are really about the chemistry between us dancers. When you book a performance like 'Abha' or 'Nagamandala', you're getting more than just choreography; you're getting a synchronized ensemble that’s practiced timing and trust for years. Because of the complex movement patterns, these performances require a stage with a minimum dimension of 20ft by 15ft to let the energy really land for the audience.
