Nature isn't just an add-on; it is the operating system of our design process. We create homes that breathe, using passive cooling and earthy materials to keep your space naturally comfortable.

The facade of the Mathrukrupa residence at dusk. The perforated terracotta brick screen, a modern take on the traditional jali, is a key element for passive cooling, allowing air to flow while filtering harsh sunlight.

This sectional drawing illustrates our passive cooling strategy. The terracotta brick facade and integrated planters act as a natural barrier, converting hot air to cool air and providing shade, reducing the need for artificial cooling.

Our studio's own workspace is a living example of our philosophy. This video demonstrates our innovative cooling system, which combines a terracotta jali, a lush landscape, and a mist irrigation system for eco-friendly temperature control.

A balcony doesn't have to be an afterthought. Here, a vertical garden and locally sourced Kota stone flooring dissolve the boundary between the built and the natural, creating a serene urban oasis.

This cozy balcony corner is shielded by a beautiful brick jali wall. The design provides privacy and ventilation, creating a perfect, breezy spot to relax with a book.

Even a small terrace can become a lush retreat. We used a combination of potted plants, a patterned floor, and a slatted roof to create a charming outdoor dining area that feels connected to nature.

This diagram shows our design for a window system that balances privacy, weather protection, and controlled airflow. It's an example of how we think through every detail to enhance comfort and energy efficiency.

A conceptual framework for our bioclimatic facade design. It explains how we draw inspiration from traditional waterpots and use drip irrigation on terracotta for a modern, sustainable evaporative cooling system.

The design process always starts with the site. This video captures a visit to a lush, green plot, where the natural surroundings provide the first spark of inspiration for a new home.

A closer look at the craftsmanship of the wire-cut brick jali. The circular cutout acts as a modern window, framing the view while the surrounding perforations create a beautiful play of light and shadow.

About Biophilic & Sustainable Design

We do not just add plants to a room; we engineer your home to regulate its own temperature. By using elements like perforated terracotta brick facades and vertical gardens, we create homes that significantly cut down on artificial cooling while ensuring constant cross-ventilation, even in the heart of a dense city.
