About Living & Dining Spaces
We obsess over the tactile details, like the weight of a custom oak media unit or how a specific weave of cane catches the afternoon sun. It is that constant 'kulbulahat' (restlessness) we feel to get the balance of texture and light just right that ensures your space feels intentional, not just decorated.
Creating the Heart of Your Home
Your living and dining area is the primary social zone of your residence. It is where you start your day and where you unwind after it. Our approach to these spaces moves beyond standard interior trends. We look at the architectural flow, ensuring the space feels breathable and connected, rather than cluttered.
Materiality and Texture
In projects like the Mathrukrupa residence, we utilized a consistent palette of wood, white tones, and vibrant greenery to ground the space. We prefer honest materials—teak, granite, marble, and concrete—because they age gracefully and bring a sense of natural warmth into a modern floor plan. You will often find us integrating custom joinery, like floating media units or sculptural dining tables, to ensure every piece fits the room's specific geometry perfectly.
The Open-Plan Philosophy
We often look for ways to dissolve the barriers between the living, dining, and kitchen zones. Using architectural elements like arched pass-through windows or light-wells helps unify these spaces without needing walls. This creates a social atmosphere that encourages conversation, whether you are hosting a dinner or just having a quiet morning coffee.
