In this video, we explain the initial design challenges and solutions for a large bungalow in Nagpur. We utilized a 4-meter level difference on the plot to vertically separate public areas like offices from the private residential spaces above.

Part two of our Nagpur bungalow series, focusing on the upper floor layout and technical features. We discuss the use of double-glazed windows (DGUs) to allow for large openings with garden views while cutting down on heat gain in Nagpur's hot climate.

About Private Homes & Villas

We always start with the site. For our Nagpur bungalow project, we encountered a 4-meter level difference across the plot. Instead of fighting the land, we used the slope to create a vertical split, placing the office and community areas on the ground level and the family residence above. It is these site-responsive decisions that make a home feel right, rather than just imposing a design on the terrain.
