The Technology of Hatha Yoga

Classical Hatha Yoga is not about fitness or stretching; it is a technology to engineer your inner well-being. Align your body and mind to function exactly the way you want.

Yoga is not a philosophy, belief, or religion. It is a technology of wellbeing and transcendence. Like any technology, it works for those who learn to use it. I am here to transmit this science to you in its purest form.

A glimpse into a Surya Kriya workshop, the origin of the sun salutation. This powerful 21 step process is a complete spiritual practice in itself, bringing health, devotion, and balance to your life.

Surya Kriya is a phenomenal process for bringing smoothness to your system, helping you live without friction. It works by aligning your personal cycle with the larger solar system, creating a well oiled feeling within.

Upa Yoga is a simple yet powerful set of practices that activate the joints, muscles, and energy system. Here you can see a family finding balance from within by practicing together at home, a great starting point for anyone new to yoga.

Hatha yoga prepares the body and mind for meditation, making it a joyful and effortless process. By training your body through asanas, you are also training your mind to be focused and still.

Your body holds karmic memory, which can create blocks in your sensory process. Through consistent sadhana, or spiritual practice, you create a conducive atmosphere for these blocks to dissolve, without needing to fix them consciously.

Asanas, or yogic postures, are a way of exploring how the body and mind work. By holding your body in a certain posture, you will notice your mind functions in a certain way. This is the science of creating inner balance.

About this collection

In my sessions, we focus on the mechanics of the human system rather than aesthetic fitness goals. Surya Kriya and Upa Yoga are specific, precise processes meant to align your internal energies; they require patience, not athletic ability. If you are struggling with daily fatigue or scattered focus, these tools are designed to stabilize your system at its foundation.

Think of your body as a machine. If a car's engine is misaligned, it will not run smoothly, no matter how much fuel you put in. Hatha yoga works in the same way. By mastering specific postures and breathwork, you are not just getting a workout; you are correcting the fundamental alignment of your energy system.

The Practice Modules

  • Surya Kriya: This is the origin of the sun salutation. Unlike typical fitness-focused sequences, this is a comprehensive spiritual process. It is designed to activate your solar plexus, which helps you navigate the hectic pace of modern life without internal friction. It brings a unique sense of balance to your physical and energy bodies.
  • Upa Yoga: An ideal entry point for beginners, these practices focus on joint activation and muscle engagement. They are simple, requiring no special equipment, but they operate on a deep understanding of human mechanics.

Why This Approach Matters

Many people in Mumbai come to me seeking relief from back pain or stress. While these are common symptoms of our modern sedentary lifestyle, I do not teach 'stress management.' Instead, I teach you how to manage your own system so that stress does not accumulate in the first place. Whether we are conducting an executive leadership intensive or a group session, the focus remains on equipping you with the tools for self-management. We avoid shortcuts and 'quick fixes,' ensuring you learn the practices in their purest, most authentic form so you can maintain them independently.
