My Art Studio, Process & Creative Musings

My studio is my magical, dreamy abode. I spent a Sunday reorganizing, adding more of my art to the walls, and setting up fairy lights to inspire me.

Bought an easel, got a desk. Still sketching like a lizard on the floor. Because comfort is a feeling, not a furniture setup.

It's like a chemistry lab on my desk, trying to find the perfect red. Not too red, but red enough. You know what I mean, right?

Perfectionism is dead. So, just dance. Shake off the critical energy and embrace the messy, raw, authentic process of creation. Your unique story is in the imperfections.

If you're new to unleashing your creativity, my advice is to discover what moves you, set your intentions, create a sacred space, and commit to daily doses of creativity.

The one belief that has gotten me through my fears is that every act of creation is a brave step toward revealing our true selves. Vulnerability is the essence of true art.

Navigating life as an artist can be complex. I find clarity not by thinking linearly, but by embracing the randomness and listening to myself. Our art becomes a mirror of our journey.

The most garbage advice I've received is to "stick to what sells." True, authentic art is about being true to who we are, taking risks, and sharing our unique voice with the world.

Some things I love about being an independent artist: the freedom to create what I want, the flexibility to set my own schedule, and the fulfillment of seeing my ideas come to life.
