Behind the Scenes: My Creative Art Process
Welcome to the corner of my studio where messy hands meet fine art. Here, you get a raw look at how I turn sketches, clay, and wood into stories for your home.
Here is a quick look at what my week looks like, one second at a time. It's a journey through different projects, from charcoal portraits and textured art to detailed wood burning.
A compilation of some of my latest artworks in progress. This video shows a variety of mediums I work with, including textured sculpture, pyrography, and detailed charcoal portraiture.
This is my treasure. My collection of paints, brushes, and tools is where every piece of art begins. It’s a beautifully chaotic mix of potential and creativity waiting to happen.
Life lately has been filled with charcoal-dusted hands, and I am so grateful for it. This is the mark of an artist deep in their work, and I'm thankful for every commission that allows me to do what I love.
About A Look Behind the Scenes
Every piece here starts as a rough idea, often taking over 160 hours from the first pencil stroke to the final varnish. Whether it is a charcoal portrait or a textured wall installation, I embrace the dust and the chaos because that is where the real work happens.
When people see my finished work, they often do not realize the stages it goes through. My studio is a space for constant experimentation. You will find charcoal sticks right next to pyrography tools and sculpting clay. I thrive on the challenge of different materials.
If we work together, the process starts with a conversation. We discuss colors, textures, and the mood you want for your space. I send you samples and sketches before I even touch the final canvas. For pyrography, I work with wood grains to make the art feel organic. For my clay reliefs, I focus on depth and shadow.
I do not believe in making things that look manufactured. I love imperfections and the way a material reacts to my touch. If you are looking for art that feels personal, rather than mass-produced decor, this is exactly the space for that. I am always open to exploring new styles, so if you have a vision that feels a bit unconventional, let's talk about it. I pour my focus into the textures, from the brushstrokes to the burnt wood patterns, ensuring every detail tells a story.
