From your morning coffee mug to full tableware sets for cafes, I craft functional ceramics that carry a story. Let's work together to create pieces that fit your space and rhythm.

These deep salad bowls were a custom order for a cafe. I designed them with a central container for vinaigrette, combining a pristine white glaze with the naked brown clay for a beautiful contrast.

This set of 500 ml carafes with lids was created for a special coffee tasting experience at a local cafe. The black glaze matches the cafe's aesthetic, with a touch of gold for a little oomph.

Drinkware has been a major focus of my work. This video showcases a variety of forms, from espresso mugs to Japanese-inspired yunomis and vintage goblets, all refined through client feedback and personal exploration.

Our minimally designed wares blend beautifully into the ethereal space of this cafe. We created a full set of tableware, including mugs and canisters, to complement their aesthetic.

These plates were part of a large commission for a cafe with sea-themed interiors. The sprayed blue and white glazes evoke the feeling of ocean waves, creating a perfect backdrop for their food.

Unloading a fresh batch of coupe and quarter plates from the kiln. The vibrant mustard and green glazes turned out beautifully, and these pieces are now ready to be shipped to our retail partner.

A close-up of the mustard and white ombre-glazed bowls and mugs. This matte glaze has a beautiful vibrancy and is one of my favorites to work with for custom tableware sets.

The studio is often filled with greenware for large production orders. These tumblers and bowls are drying on the shelves, waiting to be bisque fired and glazed for a client.

Another view of the custom carafes, showing their elegant, modern form. I enjoy the challenge of production pottery, creating consistent, high-quality pieces in large quantities.

These lidded carafes are both functional and beautiful, designed to enhance the coffee tasting experience. It's rewarding to see my work become part of a local business's story.

About Custom Commissions & Tableware

When I take on a custom order, I start by listening to the story you want to tell with your table. Whether you need a set of ten mugs or three hundred plates for a restaurant, I focus on the balance between aesthetics and durability. My work uses high-fired stoneware, designed to survive the daily rhythm of dishwashers and busy service, while retaining the tactile warmth that only handmade ceramics can offer.

Every piece begins with an idea, but it evolves through the conversation we have about your needs. I work closely with you to understand the context of the pottery. Are these plates for a quiet morning routine, or will they face the constant wear of a bustling cafe?

My production process is rooted in high-fire stoneware and porcelain, chosen for strength and longevity. I use proprietary glazes—from deep, vibrant mustards to matte whites—that are 100% food-safe, microwave, and dishwasher-safe. For larger orders, I manage the production lifecycle, ensuring consistency in weight and ergonomics across the entire batch while honoring the subtle variations that make each item unique.

I prefer a collaborative approach where we explore the clay body, finish, and form together. If you have a specific vision, I test and tweak until the glaze and shape align with what you have in mind. We can discuss dimensions, volume capacities, and stacking needs to ensure the final product is as functional as it is beautiful. Reach out to start a conversation about your project.

I'm Namrata. I believe clay has a way of slowing us down, and I channel that into every piece I pull on the wheel. My studio is where I turn raw earth into functional art, focusing on stoneware that stands up to the rhythm of your daily life.
