Fitness Philosophy and Performance Training
I believe in leading by example. Whether it is on the Kabaddi mat or the running track, I test the methods I use with my clients on myself first.
The final push to the finish line of the Red Tape 10km marathon. The energy of the crowd was incredible and it’s a reminder of what we can achieve when we are determined.
Feeling accomplished after completing my first 10km marathon. An athletic lifestyle is about challenging yourself in new ways.
Proudly holding my finisher's medal. Every achievement, big or small, is a step forward on the fitness journey.
Posing with fellow runners at the selfie point. The running community is full of positive energy and mutual support.
A post-run selfie with my team. Sharing these experiences with others makes the journey even more rewarding.
Another shot with my medal. I encourage all my clients to find a form of movement they love and to celebrate their progress.
About My Fitness Philosophy in Action
When I train clients for performance or recovery, I do not just talk about technique. I run marathons and practice the same strength protocols I prescribe. This 10km run taught me more about breath control and stamina than any textbook could, and it is this kind of practical endurance that we focus on in our sessions—building a body that is resilient and capable, not just flexible.
My philosophy is simple: Yoga and sports therapy are not separate worlds. Whether you are a professional athlete recovering from an injury or someone just trying to move without pain, the goal is the same—to bring the body back to its natural, efficient state.
Why Practice Matters
When I say 'pair seedha karo' (straighten your leg) during a session, it is because I know exactly how that muscle should engage. I have spent years as a national-level player and team physio, and I apply that same biomechanical awareness to every client.
The Core Pillars of My Training
- Injury Prevention: We focus on gait analysis and joint mobility to spot issues before they cause pain. This is crucial for runners and anyone involved in high-impact sports.
- Functional Strength: We do not just build muscle for looks. We train for stability, balance, and the functional strength needed for daily life or competitive play.
- Recovery Protocols: Using modalities like dry needling, cupping, and IASTM, I help the body heal from sports-specific strain.
Training is about consistency. It is the practice—the daily effort—that creates the transformation. If you are struggling with a persistent niggle or want to push your physical limits, we can design a roadmap that gets you moving safely again.
