Advanced yoga is not just about showing off flexible poses. It is about building the discipline, strength, and mobility to move without pain.

This video demonstrates a dynamic flow into Visvamitrasana, a pose that requires a deep combination of hamstring flexibility, core strength, and balance.

A deep backbend, placing the feet on the head. This level of flexibility comes from years of dedicated practice in heart-opening and spinal mobility.

Eka Pada Bakasana (One-Legged Crane Pose) is an arm balance that challenges stability and concentration. It's a testament to how flexibility and strength must work together.

Holding Visvamitrasana, a pose dedicated to the sage Visvamitra. It's a powerful expression of strength, flexibility, and openness in the hips and shoulders.

Physical fitness is a direct result of consistent practice and a disciplined lifestyle. Yoga builds a strong, lean, and functional core.

This is the entry and hold for a complex standing balance pose that requires extreme flexibility and control. Each movement is deliberate and connected to the breath.

A still from my practice of a challenging standing balance. People often ask "How?", and the answer is always: practice and all is coming.

A demonstration of a forearm stand scorpion kick-over. This advanced inversion requires immense core control, back flexibility, and shoulder stability.

This video shows my personal practice of achieving a full 180-degree middle split (Samakonasana), a result of consistent hip-opening exercises.

Working on Eka Pada Rajakapotasana (One-Legged King Pigeon Pose). This deep backbend is a powerful heart opener and stretches the entire front of the body.

About My Advanced Yoga Practice

Advanced postures like Visvamitrasana or Samakonasana require more than just flexibility. They need a solid foundation of core stability and shoulder strength. My practice emphasizes these mechanics so you can safely progress toward these challenging asanas without risking injury.

People often look at a full middle split or a deep backbend and think it is just for the naturally flexible. It is not. These poses are the result of consistent, intelligent practice. My approach to advanced yoga is rooted in sports science. I do not just ask you to stretch. We work on joint mobilization, myofascial release, and controlled loading to open the body safely. When we work on something like Eka Pada Bakasana, I break it down into the specific arm balance, hip opening, and core engagement required to hold the pose. We use props like blocks to square the hips in Samakonasana, ensuring the stretch is effective rather than straining. This is not about rushing to a final pose. It is about the steps in between. Whether you are working toward your first handstand or refining an inversion, my focus is on alignment that keeps you strong and injury-free. My background as a team physio keeps me focused on the biomechanics of every move. I know how to modify these advanced asanas for your current level, so you build the necessary stability long before you attempt the full expression.

I am Aviraj. I have spent years on the Kabaddi mat and in the physio clinic, and I use that experience to teach yoga. I do not believe in forcing the body. We work with it, strengthening and opening it until the pose happens naturally.
