Advanced Strength Training for Young Athletes
We help teens move past basic bodyweight drills into structured strength training. It is about building real power, perfect technique, and the confidence that comes from mastering a barbell safely.
Here, one of our young athletes is performing a 1 and 1/4 back squat, a technical lift designed to build strength in the bottom position. This is part of a structured program where we teach proper lifting mechanics and progress safely, ensuring our athletes build a solid foundation for future performance.
About Advanced Strength for Young Athletes
When your teen is ready to pick up a barbell, we do not just pile on the weight. We start with technical work like 1 1/4 back squats to master the bottom position of the lift. By prioritizing movement quality over heavy loads, we ensure they build structural stability and prevent injury before they even think about going heavy.
Building a Solid Foundation
At 367 Crossfit, our advanced strength program in Punjabi Bagh is built for teens who have outgrown basic drills and are ready for more. We focus on progressive overload, meaning we introduce complexity only when their movement patterns are rock solid. Whether they are learning to handle a technique barbell or mastering their first pull-up, the focus is always on form.
Why Technique Matters More Than Weight
We operate with a 'No Mirrors' policy, which helps our athletes build proprioception—knowing where their body is in space—rather than just checking how they look. In these sessions, we teach:
- Barbell Mechanics: Learning to squat, press, and lift properly.
- Gymnastic Strength: Using bodyweight to build functional muscle.
- Safe Progression: Using techniques like PVC pipes before moving to weighted bars.
Small Groups, Real Attention
We keep our batches capped at 15 students with a strict 1:15 coach-to-student ratio. This is not a crowded gym where kids get lost in the noise. Our coaches provide hands-on correction, adjusting their grip or stance in real-time to ensure they are lifting safely.
Is Your Teen Ready?
This program is about more than just lifting; it is about building resilience. We encourage our young athletes to focus on the process rather than the outcome. If you are looking for a place where your child can learn to move better, lift with confidence, and develop a healthy relationship with fitness, we invite you to book a session.
