About Fun & Funky Kids' Art Classes
You do not need to pack any art supplies because we provide everything from brushes to aprons. Our classes are intentionally kept small, usually between 8 and 12 participants, so I can give each child the specific help they need to complete their project, whether it is a canvas painting, a clay sculpture, or a mixed-media piece.
At YoungPlum, we move away from the idea that art has to be perfect. My studio in Punjabi Bagh is a space where children learn by doing. We rotate through a massive variety of mediums to keep things interesting. One week we might be exploring acrylic painting techniques on canvas, and the next we are diving into clay modeling or wax-resist painting.
I focus on teaching the foundations of art in a way that feels like a game. We cover color theory, blending, and layering, but we do it while making dinosaurs, sunflowers, or whatever project is on the menu that day. For older kids interested in new tools, we even mix in digital design using Canva.
Our goal is to help your child find their own creative voice, not just copy what I am doing. If your child is new to art or feels nervous about drawing a straight line, they are exactly who I want in the studio. We see mistakes as part of the process, not as failures.
Parents often ask if they need to bring anything. The answer is just your child's energy and maybe some clothes that can handle a bit of paint. We handle the setup and the cleanup. If you are curious about how we work, you can always book a single trial class to see if your child enjoys our vibe before signing up for a full course.
