Summer Art Camps for Kids: Creative Workshops in West Delhi
Make this summer a creative adventure! At YoungPlum, we turn idle afternoons into artistic explorations for children aged 6 to 14. With new themes every week—from texture art to exploring legendary masters—your child will build confidence, learn new skills, and bring home something they are proud of.
Kicking off our Summer Camp with Week 1! This flyer shows the exciting activities we have planned, including gold leaf painting, macrame, wire flowers, and decorating a flower vase.
Here's the lineup for Week 2 of our Art Summer Camp. Students will explore traditional Pichwai painting, create a 3D cardboard aquarium, and design their own file folder.
Week 3 is all about textures and personalization! Our summer campers will try marble painting, sculpt a clay nameplate, and learn how to make beautiful paper bags.
Roar into Week 4 of our summer camp! This week's theme includes abstract texture art, the delicate art of quilling, and building a cardboard craft volcano and wooden dinosaurs.
As part of our "Women in Art" summer series, we're learning about the pioneering Indian artist Amrita Sher-Gill. Students will create their own oil canvas painting inspired by her unique style.
This week in our "Women in Art" camp, we're diving into the work of Georgia O'Keeffe. We'll be creating modern art paintings inspired by her famous enlarged flowers.
Our "Women in Art" series also features the incredible Mary Blair! In this session, students will learn about her work as a Disney concept artist and create their own mixed-media art.
This video shows our campers creating artwork inspired by Mary Blair's "It's a Small World." They are using acrylics to paint their own geometric castles with whimsical colors.
A happy camper showing off her finished Mary Blair inspired castle. I love the colors and details she chose for her magical creation.
Another fantastic piece from our Mary Blair workshop! It's so fun to see each student's interpretation of the same theme.
About Unforgettable Summer Art Camps
If you are worried about the perfection trap, don't be. My studio is built on the idea that the process—the scribbles, the spilled paint, and the messy experiments—is where the real growth happens. Kids do not just follow instructions here; they learn to plan, sketch, and make creative decisions that make their art truly their own, whether they are working with clay, acrylics, or cardboard.
We run our summer camps in small batches to ensure every child gets the one-on-one attention they need to actually learn, rather than just keeping busy. Every week follows a new theme, rotating through diverse activities like gold leaf painting, 3D cardboard crafts, and traditional Pichwai art.
A highlight for many of our campers is the 'Women in Art' series, where we study icons like Amrita Sher-Gill, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Mary Blair. We do not just copy their styles; we encourage students to interpret them through their own perspective.
We provide all the supplies, from high-grade acrylics and texture pastes to aprons. Whether it is a canvas painting or a 3D diorama, your child walks away with finished work. We are based in Punjabi Bagh, making it a convenient spot for West Delhi families to drop off their kids for a productive, screen-free summer. If you have been looking for an environment that treats art like play rather than a school subject, you are in the right place.
