About Art Classes and Workshops
What We’re About
At YoungPlum, I think art should feel like play, not pressure. Doesn’t matter if you’re a total newbie or someone who’s painted a wall or two - if you’re curious, you’ll fit right in. I always say it’s better to make messy art than no art at all. Perfection? Not the goal here. I want folks walking in to feel free to mess up and try again, without any judgment.
What You Can Try
- Weekend creative workshops for families or solo explorers, with themes like textured art or knife painting. Always something new.
- Regular studio sessions if you want to make art a habit. Can try a class first before jumping in.
- Private group painting classes - bring your friends or family, and I’ll set up something fun just for your crew.
- Family paint days where everyone, big or small, gets to paint together (even if half the paint ends up on you).
- Kids summer art camps with themes like Women in Art, crafts, and painting - these get wild in the best way.
What We Make
You’ll find acrylic painting techniques, impasto, watercolors, charcoal portraiture, zentangles, resin crafts, textured art, and clay. Sometimes we get inspired by artists like O’Keeffe or Kusama and try those styles for fun.
Good to Know
- All art materials are here - just bring your energy (and maybe old clothes).
- I keep classes small for proper attention, so spots fill up quick.
If you “can’t draw a straight line,” you’re exactly who I want in the studio.

My Story
We started YoungPlum because we wanted a spot in Punjabi Bagh where art feels easy, not fancy. Our studio’s a mashup—kids with paint on their faces, adults grinning over their first doodle in years. Moved to a newer space but it’s still us—same mess, same fun, same crazy ideas. From monsoon-themed art parties to random clay days, it’s all about sharing the joy of getting creative together.
