Yoga Philosophy and Personal Wellness Updates
Yoga is more than just poses. Here is a glimpse into my personal journey, my approach to holistic well-being, and updates on my latest sessions.
After taking some time away to rest and recharge, I am excited to be back. This video marks a new beginning, and I look forward to sharing fresh content on yoga practices, wellness tips, and my personal journey with you all.
About Additional Work
I often get asked if yoga is just about physical flexibility, but my own practice changed when I stopped treating it like a to-do list. Whether you are curious about starting, managing stress from a corporate job, or just want to understand why 'Samatvam' (equanimity) matters, my approach is built on listening to your body rather than forcing it into shape. If you have been hesitant about joining a class because you think you aren't 'fit' enough, take this as your sign to start exactly where you are.
My Journey: From Corporate Grind to the Mat
Before I became a yoga teacher, I was a Chartered Accountant. I know the feeling of staring at a screen for ten hours, dealing with tight shoulders, and feeling that mental fog that comes with high-pressure deadlines. My shift to yoga wasn't about leaving a career behind; it was about finding a way to make that career sustainable. I bring that same corporate understanding into my sessions—I know you don't have hours to spare, and I know you need practical relief, not abstract theory.
Why My Approach is Different
Yoga for me is a dialogue with the body, not a competition.
- No One-Size-Fits-All: We use props and modifications so that every pose is accessible, regardless of your current level or flexibility.
- Holistic Focus: My classes blend Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa techniques with Pranayama (breathwork) to address both the physical tension and the mental stress.
- Rooted in Philosophy: I don't just teach postures; I share insights from the Bhagavad Gita and other texts to help you find inner balance that lasts long after you step off the mat.
How We Can Work Together
Whether you are a complete beginner or looking for a wellness program for your team in Bengaluru, my goal is to create a safe space for you. We focus on 'Sookshma Vyayama' for pain relief, breathing techniques for focus, and deep relaxation to reset. My sessions are designed to be practical, educational, and most importantly, kind to your body. You do not need to be flexible to start yoga; you just need to be willing to breathe.
