When the noise of city life feels overwhelming, your breath is the anchor that brings you back to yourself. These sessions use specific breathing techniques to quiet the mind and restore your nervous system.

In Bhramari Pranayama, the humming bee breath, we seal off the external senses to turn inward. The gentle vibration calms the nervous system, releases stress, and brings a profound sense of clarity and inner balance.

To breathe better is to live better. Anulom Vilom, or alternate nostril breathing, is a cornerstone of my practice for its proven ability to balance the mind and body.

The technique for Anulom Vilom is simple, but its effects are profound. Here, I guide students through the process of inhaling and exhaling through alternate nostrils to harmonize the brain and calm the nervous system.

The benefits of a consistent pranayama practice are clear. Regular alternate nostril breathing reduces stress and anxiety, improves focus, and promotes deeper, more restful sleep.

On days when the air feels heavy and polluted, your lungs need extra support. I teach simple pranayama techniques like Anulom Vilom and Bhramari to help clear the lungs and calm the system.

Restless nights are often a sign of a restless mind. This infographic shows six simple yoga poses that can be incorporated into your evening routine to calm the nervous system and prepare your body for deep, restorative sleep.

When the world feels heavy, your breath is your anchor. It's a simple, powerful tool to ground you in the present moment and remind your body that you are safe.

Your mat can be a sanctuary. Even just three minutes of mindful breathing can be enough to release the grip of anxiety and find a moment of peace in a chaotic day.

Yoga doesn't ask you to be anything other than what you are. It simply invites you to slow down, to breathe, and to be present. This is where true healing begins.

One of the most immediate benefits of a regular yoga practice is the reduction of stress and anxiety. By focusing on breath and movement, we learn to quiet the mental chatter and find a state of calm.

About Calm Your Mind: Yoga for Stress & Anxiety

I don't believe in generic flows that leave you feeling drained. In these sessions, we use specific Iyengar-inspired props like bolsters, bricks, and wall ropes to physically support your body, which allows your mind to truly let go. You will not just be relaxing; we will use targeted pranayama, such as Anulom Vilom and Bhramari, to manually lower cortisol levels and calm your nervous system.

Most people approach yoga for stress thinking they need to be flexible or have a quiet environment, but the reality is that the mind is often loudest when we finally try to stop. That is why my approach at YogAngle is structured around 'supported' practice. When you are anxious, your body holds tension in the shoulders, neck, and jaw. If you simply sit and try to meditate, that tension usually keeps you stuck.

By using props, we offload the work from your muscles so your nervous system can switch from 'fight or flight' to 'rest and digest' mode. We break down techniques like Bhramari (humming bee breath) not just as a concept, but as a physiological tool. The vibration of the sound creates a feedback loop that interrupts overthinking patterns instantly.

My batches are strictly capped at 10 people, which means I can actually see you. If your posture is collapsing because of stress, I will adjust it. If your breathing is shallow, we will reset it. You do not need to come here feeling calm; you come here to learn the tools that help you create it. Whether you are dealing with burnout, sleep issues, or general anxiety, we work with the body to help the mind follow.
