Aerial Yoga Classes: Stretch, Fly, and Decompress
See how we use soft silk hammocks to support your body, helping you float, fly, and invert safely. Our classes blend yoga, dance, and acrobatic movement in a supportive, small-group environment.
Welcome to our studio, where you can leave the stress of the ground behind. This shot captures the serene, focused atmosphere of an inversion session, where students learn to let go and trust the hammock.
This is a gentle inversion that is accessible even for beginners. Cocooned in the silk, you can experience the benefits of spinal decompression and increased blood flow to the brain, which helps calm the mind.
For more experienced students, we explore dynamic and challenging inversions. This pose requires significant core strength and flexibility, demonstrating the progressive nature of our aerial yoga practice.
The hammock isn't just for inversions; it's a tool for finding stillness. This supported Eka Pada Rajakapotasana allows for a deep hip-opening stretch while encouraging a meditative and peaceful state of mind.
There is a real sense of freedom and play in aerial yoga. This dynamic pose combines strength and balance, showing how the practice can be both a workout and a joyful expression of movement.
The hammock acts as a partner, helping you achieve deeper stretches safely. This supported standing split allows you to work on hamstring and hip flexibility without putting pressure on your joints.
About The Aerial Yoga Experience
Our batches are capped at 8-10 students so you get proper attention during your first inversions. You don’t need to be incredibly flexible to start; the silk hammock does the heavy lifting, supporting your weight so you can stretch deeper and safely decompress your spine without putting unnecessary pressure on your joints.
Aerial yoga is often misunderstood as being only for acrobats or the super-fit. In reality, it is a fantastic tool for anyone dealing with stiffness or back tension. When you hang in the hammock, gravity does the work for you. This allows for spinal decompression, which creates space between your vertebrae—something that is difficult to achieve on a standard floor mat.
In our studio in Vile Parle East, we focus on functional movement. You will build core strength, but you will also learn to trust the equipment and your own body. We take the fear out of the process by using props and hands-on adjustments.
We structure our flows to be safe for beginners while offering progression for those who are ready for more dynamic moves. Whether you are coming in to manage back pain, improve your mobility, or simply want to try something that makes you feel lighter, our classes meet you where you are. You will find that regular practice helps with hip opening, shoulder mobility, and, most importantly, the ability to calm your mind by focusing on your breath while suspended. We are here to guide you through the process, ensuring you feel secure and supported every time you step into the silk.
