More Than Poses: Finding Peace Outside the Mat
Yoga isn't just about bending your body. It's about finding that mental space where you can actually breathe. Whether I’m on a nature trail or sitting on my mat with my dog, this is my practice: raw, real, and honest.
Out in nature, birding. This is another form of yoga for me. It requires patience, presence, and a connection to something bigger than yourself. It’s about finding stillness and wonder in the world around us.
Here I am, out in a field in my comfy clothes. This is me when I'm not an "insta yogi." Just a person finding peace in nature, feeling free and unposed.
Forget what you've been told is sexy. True confidence comes from being happy and at peace in your own skin. This is the goal of my practice, to help you find that inner contentment.
A simple, raw portrait. No makeup, no filter, just me. My goal is to help you feel this comfortable and happy in your own skin, breaking free from stereotypes and expectations.
Finding a moment of quiet like this, lying next to my dog, is a practice in itself. True peace can be unsettling to those who thrive in chaos, but it's a state we all deserve. This is what we work towards on the mat.
This is what peace looks like. It’s not complicated. It’s about allowing yourself to rest, to be still, and to find comfort in simple moments, like sharing a mat with a furry friend.
About More Than Poses
You might wonder why a yoga therapist spends so much time birding or hanging out with dogs. The stillness I find while watching birds or resting with my dog is exactly what we practice on the mat. Yoga isn't about perfect poses, it’s about learning to be comfortable in your own skin, even when things are messy.
This cluster captures the reality behind my practice. Whether I'm out birding in Bengaluru or just having a low-energy day, the goal is the same: radical self-acceptance. When I say 'more than poses,' I mean that the work we do to calm your nervous system matters way more than how you look in a backbend.
Why the 'Messy' Matters
My approach isn't about fitting into an aesthetic. If you've ever felt like you didn't belong in a yoga studio because you couldn't touch your toes or didn't fit the 'yogi' mold, you are the person I want to work with.
- Perspective Over Perfection: I share these candid moments to show that even a yoga teacher struggles, gets tired, and deals with self-doubt.
- Nature as Therapy: Just as birding requires patience and presence, my therapeutic yoga sessions require the same. We use that same 'nature-watching' focus to regulate your breathing and calm your anxiety.
- Human Connection: I am not a distant guru. I am a person who has fought my own battles with mental health and body image. This space is where we bring those real struggles and work through them using movement and breath.
If you are looking for a place where you don't have to perform, where you can show up with your anxiety or your physical limitations and still be seen, then we should talk. My sessions are about finding that stillness, no matter how chaotic life feels outside.
