My Personal Yoga Practice: Exploring Shapes and Stillness
Yoga isn't just about the professional sessions I lead—it is a living practice. This collection shows where I play, challenge my limits, and keep listening to what my body needs.
While my corporate sessions focus on accessible movements, my personal practice is where I play with more advanced shapes like this split variation using a chair. It's a reminder that yoga is a lifelong journey and that you are always the best expert on your own body.
About My Personal Practice
In these photos, you'll see me exploring variations like chair-supported splits. It is not about reaching a perfect line, but about testing my range and stability in a way that respects my body’s current capacity on that day.
For me, yoga is not a destination but a constant negotiation with my own body. My personal practice is where I get to experiment, fail, and eventually find the variation that works. When I practice a split or a deep twist, I am not looking for social media perfection. I am looking for the squeeze-and-soak action that improves circulation and mobility.
Many of my students ask if they need to be flexible to start. My answer is always in my own practice: you don't. You need to be curious. My personal sessions allow me to develop the modifications I later share in my classes, whether it is using a chair for support or adjusting a pose to account for tightness from long hours of sitting.
By sharing these moments, I hope to demystify the practice. Whether you are looking for Hatha flows, Vinyasa sequences, or simple desk-based stretches to combat workday stiffness, the principles remain the same: listen to your body, breathe, and show up.
