About Busting Myths & Learning the Ropes
You might hear that Pilates is just light toning or that it is too easy for strong gym-goers, but that is the first myth we want to bust. In our studio in Sector 56, we cap our equipment sessions at just 5 people. This allows us to focus entirely on your form, ensuring you are hitting the deep stabilizing muscles rather than just going through the motions on a Balanced Body Rialto Reformer.
Let's set the record straight because there is a lot of noise about what Pilates is.
Pilates is not just for rehab While it is incredible for recovering from injuries or managing back pain, it is a demanding full-body workout. We see pro athletes come here for rotational strength and core control. If you think it is easy, come try a circuit on our Wunda Chairs or the Bodhi suspension system, and we promise your core will be shaking by the end.
It is definitely not the same as yoga We love yoga, but our method is different. We focus on dynamic movement, resistance, and high-intensity, low-impact training. It is about building endurance, posture, and strength that you can feel in everyday life, not just on the mat.
Stop waiting for a 'Pilates body' The only requirement to do Pilates is to have a body. You do not need to be flexible or super fit to start. We meet you where you are, whether that is as a complete beginner or an experienced athlete. Our instructors guide you through mindful movement training, helping you improve your metabolism and lean muscle mass.
If you have been holding back because you think you are not 'fit enough' to start, this is your sign to stop waiting. Consistency beats intensity every single time, and we are here to make sure you enjoy the journey while you get there.
