Affordable Housing and Large-Scale Architectural Projects

In our work on the Kavyam housing project in Sector 108, we leveraged aluminium formwork to ensure both structural speed and a precise finish. By staggering the balconies in the casting process, we introduced a rhythm to the facade that breaks the monotony typical of high-density housing, proving that affordability does not require compromising on architectural character.

Our approach to projects like Kavyam stems from a belief that density should not be synonymous with faceless construction. When dealing with affordable housing, the challenge lies in optimizing resources—using aluminium formwork to reduce timelines and manual labor—while still creating spaces that feel solid, permanent, and worthy of the people who live there.

Why Materiality Matters

We approach industrial and large-scale projects with the same rigor we apply to luxury homes. We prioritize:

• Passive Performance: Integrating site-specific strategies for natural cooling and light, which reduces long-term utility costs for residents.
• Human-Centric Geometry: Moving beyond simple grids to create visual interest through staggered balconies, lightwells, or facade treatments that offer residents a sense of individuality.
