About Beginner & Intermediate Acting Workshops

These sessions aren't about sitting through endless theory lectures. You will be on your feet from day one, working on movement, voice, and script analysis. Whether you choose our foundation course or the intensive program, expect to sweat, mess up, and learn how to actually listen to your co-actor.

Theatre is a physical and mental practice. At WeMove, we strip away the jargon to focus on what actually happens on stage. Our workshops are split into two primary paths to ensure you get exactly what you need based on your current comfort level.

The Foundational Approach

For beginners, our 'Big Step 4+1' program is the entry point. It covers 30 hours of contact time over four weekends. We focus on three pillars: Physical Training (body language and blocking), Voice Culture (projection and diction), and Inner Work (breaking inhibitions). It concludes with an informal studio showcase where you get to put the work to the test in front of a small, supportive audience of friends and family.

Going Deeper

If you are ready for a serious commitment, the 'Big Step Intensive' runs for 16 weekends. This is a production-oriented course. We cover the Navarasas, complex character arcs, and technical stagecraft. You won't just learn to act; you will learn how to mount a production. This program culminates in a ticketed public performance at a professional venue, complete with costumes, set design, and lighting.

Why Join Us

We work out of our dedicated studio in Jayanagar, a space designed for intimacy and honest practice. We keep our batches small (15-20 participants) because acting requires individual attention—you cannot learn to react in a crowd of fifty. We aren't here to make stars overnight. We are here to build a community of performers who understand that the stage is a place for collective growth.

I started WeMove because I saw a silence in Bangalore’s theatre scene that needed filling. Theatre isn't about memorizing lines; it's about reacting, honesty, and building a community. When you join our workshops, you aren't just a student—you’re part of a journey where we figure out the stage together.
