I turn your cherished photographs into timeless, hand-painted portraits on canvas. Whether it is a family member, a pet, or a spiritual figure, I work closely with you to capture their true essence in every brushstroke.

This video shows me with a serene Buddha painting I completed a few years ago. It brings me immense joy to create art that brings peace and happiness to my customers.

Buddha has always been a source of peace and inspiration for me. Here is a finished painting, framed and lit, creating a tranquil corner in a client's home.

The process of creating a life-size portrait from a photograph. I build the likeness layer by layer, focusing on capturing the person's unique expression and character.

This is a painting of Jesus Christ I did about 10 years ago. It shows one of my earlier works in oil, capturing a powerful moment of faith and salvation.

About Sacred & Personal Portraits

When you commission a portrait, I do not just copy a photo. I take the time to understand the subject’s expression, and we discuss whether you prefer oil paints for a smooth, classic finish or acrylics for something more vibrant. I keep you looped in as I build the painting layer by layer, because a portrait should feel as real as the memory it represents.

My Approach to Portraits

I view every portrait as a collaboration. When you send me a high-resolution reference photo, I start with a detailed sketch to get the likeness right before a single drop of paint touches the canvas.

Choosing Your Medium

For portraits, I work primarily with two mediums:

  • Oil Paints: Ideal for smooth skin tones and subtle blending. This gives the portrait a soft, lifelike depth that really brings eyes and expressions to life.
  • Acrylics: A great choice if you prefer bolder colors and a slightly faster drying process. These are excellent for vibrant subjects or contemporary stylings.

Sacred Art

Beyond family portraits, I frequently paint spiritual figures like Jesus, Buddha, or other deities. These are handled with the same care as any portrait, often serving as a focal point for prayer or meditation spaces in your home. I use archival-quality varnish on all finished pieces, which protects the colors from yellowing or moisture over the years.

A Note on Lead Time

Because I hand-paint every detail, these pieces take time. Please reach out with your reference photo well in advance of any special occasion or gift deadline so I can ensure the work receives the attention it deserves.

Hi kootukare (friends), I’m Vipin. For me, painting a portrait isn't just about ink on canvas; it’s about capturing a soul. Whether I’m painting a family member or a divine figure, I put my heart into every layer to make sure it feels alive.
