Every commission starts as a shared story. Whether you need a portrait from a fading family photograph or a custom scene for your home, I translate your vision into meaningful art using watercolor, oil, or graphite.

This commissioned oil on canvas portrait of the beautiful Maya Twinxx was a joy to create. This video shows me making some final corrections to the piece a year after it was finished, as art is always a journey.

This oil on canvas portrait was commissioned from a small, blurry family photo. I always do my best to create something meaningful from these precious memories, and the client's happiness is my greatest reward.

This commissioned watercolor portrait was for a book cover. The project required a formal, realistic style to capture the subject's professional yet approachable demeanor.

This large 30x22 inch watercolor was a fascinating commission to paint the Syrian singer Asmahan. I researched her life to capture her essence, placing her against an iconic Egyptian landscape as requested by the client.

An abstract acrylic on canvas painting commissioned for a music lover. The client wanted a vibrant piece that combined a floral-patterned guitar with musical elements like a keyboard and notes.

A final, clear image of the commissioned oil portrait of Maya Twinxx. The rich colors of the oil paint bring out the golden yellow of her sari and the warmth of the interior setting.

An oil on canvas commissioned portrait of an elder. The client wanted to immortalize a respected family member, and I focused on capturing his dignified expression and the texture of the traditional turban.

The final version of the commissioned abstract guitar painting. The bold blues and reds create a dynamic energy, perfect for a space dedicated to music.

A work-in-progress video of the oil portrait commissioned from a blurry photo. It shows the careful process of building up facial features and details from a challenging reference.

About Commissioned Artworks

I often receive requests to restore memories from small, blurry family photos. Instead of just tracing lines, I focus on understanding the anatomy and essence behind the face to create a final piece that feels authentic. For these commissions, I use professional-grade mediums on archival surfaces, such as heavyweight 300 GSM cotton paper or primed canvas, ensuring that what we create today remains preserved for years to come.

My approach to commissions is meditative. Whether I am working in hyper-realistic watercolor, classic oil on canvas, or detailed graphite, the goal is to capture the subject's spirit, not just their appearance. If you are planning a portrait from an old reference, do not worry about the image quality. My process involves analyzing the subject, reconstructing missing details through anatomical study, and layering tones to achieve depth.

My Mediums and Specifications

  • Watercolor: I use artist-grade Daniel Smith pigments on 300 GSM 100% cotton cold-press paper. This technique allows for multi-layer glazing to create lifelike, translucent skin tones.
  • Oil: For larger, classical compositions (typically 24x30 inches), I use professional oil paints on primed canvas. These pieces are finished with an archival varnish to protect against dust and UV rays, ensuring longevity.
  • Charcoal & Graphite: These are rendered on 180 GSM acid-free paper, sealed with a high-quality matte fixative spray to prevent smudging and yellowing.

Regardless of the medium, the commission process is a collaboration. I maintain transparency about my techniques and the time required for each layer to dry or settle. Once complete, your artwork is packed with rigid board reinforcement or in protective tubes, and I ship across India to ensure it reaches you safely.
