Whether it is a family memory or a tribute to your pet, I hand-paint personalized portraits that capture real emotion on canvas. Let's turn your favorite photograph into a timeless piece of art.

A reveal of my latest commissioned piece, capturing a moment of pure joy. This 24 by 34 inch acrylic on canvas painting shows the final result after days of detailed brushwork, ready to be admired in its new home.

A close up of the intricate detail work on the Singapore sunset commission. Capturing the architecture and the warm glow of the sky required immense patience, but seeing the final piece makes it all worthwhile.

This video shows the entire process for a custom pet portrait, from adding color and details to the final packaging. Each commissioned painting is carefully wrapped to ensure it arrives safely, complete with a personal thank you note.

A finished black and white portrait of a client with her beloved dog. I find that monochrome paintings can capture a deep sense of emotion and tranquility, focusing purely on the bond between a person and their pet.

Here I am on my studio floor, completely focused on a pet portrait commission. Working in black and white allows me to concentrate on light, shadow, and the observational details that bring the subjects to life.

A work in progress shot of the painting 'From the eyes of a woman'. This piece explores the need for heartfelt communication and love, and this image captures a moment of contemplation as I build the layers of the scene.

The nearly completed painting, 'From the eyes of a woman', resting on the easel. This artwork, set against a warm, expressive sky, aims to capture a feeling of freedom and uninhibited expression.

About this collection

When we start, we will spend 30 minutes finalizing your reference photo and composition to make sure the mood is just right. I share an initial pencil sketch for your approval before I begin the actual painting process, and I include one round of minor touch-ups for lighting or details so the final result feels exactly like the vision you had in mind.

From Photo to Canvas

Turning a digital photograph into a physical painting requires more than just technical skill; it needs patience. I specialize in semi-realistic acrylic rendering, where the goal is to capture the mood, the bond, and the energy of the subject rather than aiming for clinical hyper-realism.

The Process

  • Consultation: We discuss the reference photo, your preferred color palette, and the overall composition.
  • Sketching: Before any paint touches the canvas, I provide a pencil sketch. This ensures we are on the same page regarding the layout.
  • Painting: I work with medium-grain, double-primed cotton canvas using high-quality acrylics. Depending on the complexity, this stage takes 3 to 5 days.
  • Finishing: Every piece is coated with a high-gloss artist varnish to protect against UV damage and dust, ensuring your memory stays vibrant for years.

Specifications & Shipping

I work on sizes ranging from A3 (12x16 inches) to A1 (23x33 inches). If you are in a metro city, I typically deliver the canvas stretched on a wooden frame so it is ready to hang the moment it arrives. For outstation orders, I ship the canvas rolled in a heavy-duty PVC tube for safety, which will require local framing upon arrival.

My practice is built on observational learning, whether I am painting a black-and-white portrait to emphasize emotional depth or a vibrant full-color piece to capture a sunny travel memory. If you have a moment you want to hold onto, I am here to help you paint it.

I’m Aanchal, and I left my corporate job four years ago to paint full-time. For me, these portraits are about more than just a likeness; I love capturing the non-verbal connection between a person and their pet, or the joy of a family moment. Every canvas I work on is an act of focus, patience, and a bit of my own self-discovery.
