I transform your favorite photographs into hand-painted oil and acrylic portraits, capturing the small details and expressions that make a moment special.

An anniversary gift that tells a story. This custom couple portrait was painted from a photo, capturing a happy memory on a circular canvas that can be displayed for years to come.

There's nothing like seeing a pet's reaction to their own portrait! This oil painting captures the happy spirit of this dog, and getting his enthusiastic approval was the best part.

A finished oil portrait of a handsome dog. I focus on the details, from the expression in the eyes to the texture of the fur, to create a realistic and heartfelt tribute.

This large acrylic canvas was a gift between best friends, immortalizing a fun beach memory. I can combine elements from different photos to create the perfect scene.

Me with the finished beach trio portrait. It's a large, vibrant piece that brings a sense of fun and friendship to any room.

A reveal of a completed baby portrait done in oils. The rich red background makes the soft details of the baby's face stand out, creating a classic and timeless piece.

This custom name board for a naming ceremony features a detailed oil painting of the parents' and baby's hands. The royal blue background gives it a bold and modern feel.

An alternate version of the "Ekansh" name board with a softer, lime-green background. I can customize colors to perfectly match your decor and preferences.

A sweet and simple oil portrait of a beautiful Labrador on a small canvas. These mini-portraits make for wonderful, personal gifts.

Watch this mini-canvas go from blank to a finished Labrador portrait. It's amazing how much personality can be captured in a small space.

About Portraits: Capturing Your Memories on Canvas

Painting realistic portraits—whether it is a family memory or a pet—is a slow, deliberate process for me. Because I work primarily with oils, each layer needs specific drying time before I can move to the next, which is how I capture those fine details in the eyes and expressions. It is not an overnight job, so if you are planning this as a surprise for a birthday or anniversary, please reach out to me about three to four weeks in advance so I can give your piece the patience and attention it deserves.

Turning Photos into Art

My approach to portraiture is about more than just matching a photo; it is about capturing a feeling. I love working with your memories—whether you have a specific family portrait you want immortalized, or you need me to combine figures from different photographs into one unified composition, like I did for a recent mother-baby painting.

Mediums and Techniques

I generally work with two primary mediums depending on the look you want:

  • Oil Paints: These are my go-to for realism and depth. They allow for incredible blending, especially for capturing textures like fur in pet portraits or the soft light on a face. They require patience, but the finish is timeless.
  • Acrylics: These are fantastic for vibrant, punchy colors. If you are looking for something slightly more impressionistic or stylized, acrylics work beautifully.

How We Start

Every project begins with a conversation about what matters to you. Once we decide on the size and medium, I create a digital layout so we are both on the same page before I even touch the canvas. If you have a specific color palette in your home, let me know; I can often adjust the background tones of the portrait to make sure it fits perfectly with your decor. My goal is to create a piece that feels like a natural part of your home, not just a picture hanging on the wall.
