Core Planning & Analysis
- Topography & Climate Study: Deep analysis of slope, sun path, and wind patterns to minimize excavation and maximize passive cooling.
- Concept Development: Creation of unique design narratives with mood boards, preliminary sketches, and spatial planning.
- Parametric 3D Visualization: Advanced modeling of complex geometries and fluid forms provided as high-definition renders.
- Sanction Drawings: Preparation of municipal drawings required for local authority approvals.
Technical Engineering
- Alternative Material Detailing: Structural engineering specifically for Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks (CSEB), Rammed Earth, or Ferrocement.
- Dry-Cladding Systems: Precision joinery drawings for mortarless stone facades and granite walls.
- GFC Documentation: Complete Good For Construction drawings including architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing layouts.
Execution Oversight
- Site Supervision: Periodic visits by senior architects to ensure artisans correctly execute complex finishes like oxides and mud work.
- Vendor Coordination: Technical guidance for vendors handling custom fabrication of spiral staircases or jali screens.
Resort & Boutique Hospitality Architecture
Master Planning & Zoning
- Site-Responsive Layouts: Strategic placement of cottages and blocks to preserve existing trees and terrain contours.
- Landscape Integration: Architectural design that blends structures with natural rocks and cliffs to blur indoor-outdoor boundaries.
- Back-of-House Planning: Efficient zoning for kitchens, staff quarters, and service routes essential for hotel operations.
Structural & Material Design
- Parametric Structures: Design of signature attraction elements like fluid ferrocement roofs or organic-shaped pool decks.
- Indigenous Material Adaptation: Research and specification of local materials (site soil, local stone) to lower carbon footprint.
- Sustainability Systems: Integration of rainwater harvesting and passive cooling techniques into the core building design.
Implementation Support
- Artisan Collaboration: Detailed working drawings for local crafts such as thatching and stone masonry within a modern framework.
- Construction Documentation: Full technical drawing suites ensuring complex organic shapes are buildable by contractors.
Commercial & Retail Experience Architecture
Strategic Design
- Brand Identity Integration: Translation of brand values into physical architectural forms and unique building envelopes.
- Customer Journey Mapping: Zoning and layout planning designed to guide visitor movement and product interaction.
- Structural Innovation: Design of high-impact features like helical staircases, large-span cantilevers, or thin-shell roofs.
Detailed Engineering
- Facade Engineering: Technical drawings for complex skins and weather-resistant material specifications.
- MEP Coordination: Integration of HVAC, Fire Fighting, and Electrical systems to ensure services remain hidden.
- Lighting Strategy: Architectural lighting design to accentuate textures like sand plaster and exposed concrete.
Project Management
- Prototyping Supervision: Oversight of on-site mock-ups for critical finishes before full-scale application.
- Technical Documentation: Comprehensive drawings to guide contractors through complex geometric builds.
About Architectural Design
What Drives Us
We don’t just do buildings - we try to create experiences. For me, architecture is like a quiet poem, always looking for that sweet spot between the built and the natural. I keep things rooted, honest, and light. You’ll find I’m drawn to materials that speak for themselves, and I believe spaces can be simple and still feel rich.
Where Our Designs Show Up
- Homes: My residential work is all about sanctuary. Whether it’s a villa in Nandi Hills or a Goa hideaway, I like spaces that connect inside and out, with big volumes and laid-back vibes.
- Commercial: I try to give shops and offices a brand identity through design, with things like folded ferrocement facades or sustainable building materials that catch your eye and feel good to use.
- Hospitality: Resorts, spas, and restaurants are designed to belong to their place. I use local construction techniques, whether it’s a tea shop in Kerala or a spa tucked into the hills, so the space feels lived-in, not just placed.
How I Work
- Context-driven architecture matters to me. I source materials locally, cut down on the carbon footprint, and support local crafts.
- I borrow from tradition, like mortarless temple construction, but mix it with modern, organic architectural forms.
- What you get is a space that feels honest—comfortable, a bit understated, and sometimes as familiar as a chaithela (tea stall) on your street.
What You’ll See
Take the Earth Experience Centre in Nandi Hills - built with local granite, CSEB blocks, and almost no cement. Or the Aqua Pool & Spa in Karnataka, where a fluid ferrocement roof makes the whole place feel like a modern cave. I’m always chasing that balance between privacy and views, comfort and connection.

My Story
We’re Treelight Design. Not just architects, we like to think of ourselves as experience-makers. Every project feels like a fresh start, whether it’s tucked away in Nandi valley or an old Goan street. We find beauty in simple things, letting spaces breathe and connect with nature. Our work’s about slow living and quiet moments, not just awards or fancy titles. For us, it’s the little details that matter, and we keep it humble.
My Work
Architecture, Interiors, Product & Landscape - We design everything from homes to landscapes, always aiming for a unique experience.
Nature-Integrated Design - Our buildings let nature in, framing hills and greenery for peaceful, nature-connected living.
Locally Sourced Materials - We use mud, stone, and local resources so buildings feel rooted and are cost-effective.
Open Kitchen Café Design - Inspired by chaithela tea stalls, we make open kitchens for honest, interactive spaces.
Modern Cave Architecture & Indian Jali - We love bold ideas, like fluid cave forms and reimagined Indian jali in contemporary ways.
