Handmade Clay Planters & Sculptural Vases
Your green friends deserve better than generic plastic. Our hand-built stoneware planters and vases are crafted right here in our 'Luru studio, designed to give your plants the unique home they’ve been waiting for.
Before and after the fire. This video shows the transformation of a hand-built donut vase, inspired by coral, from raw clay to a beautifully glazed, finished piece.
This sculptural vase is a piece of art in its own right. The intricate, hand-carved texture and organic form were created by one of our instructors to showcase advanced hand-building techniques.
Our student exhibit featured this amazing display of wall planters and other garden accessories. We love seeing how each student brings their own unique style to their creations for plant parents.
Watch one of our students therapeutically carving a wall planter. The process of fluting, or creating these vertical grooves, adds a beautiful texture that catches the light perfectly.
A collection of rustic planters featuring detailed sprig work. The rooster and leaf motifs are pressed from molds and applied by hand, giving these pots a classic, handcrafted feel.
This hand-built vase showcases some seriously cool abstract carvings. It’s a great example of how our students experiment with different shapes and surface decorations in our hand-building courses.
A whimsical mushroom house that doubles as a planter or a tea-light holder. This piece was hand-built and painted by a student, and it brings a bit of fairy-tale magic to any room.
About this collection
When you're picking a pot for your indoor jungle, it’s not just about the look. We make sure our planters have functional drainage holes, and we use heavy-bottomed stoneware so your taller plants stay upright even if the windowsill gets a bit windy.
We’re big on plants, so we treat our planters like functional art. Whether you need a low-profile Ikebana pod for a single stem or a hefty, carved vase for a monster leaf, we’ve got something for every green friend.
We mostly use slab-building and coil-techniques to get those organic, slightly asymmetrical shapes that make handmade pottery so cool. You’ll notice the textures too—we love fluting, carving, and sprigging (adding little clay bits) to create surfaces that catch the light perfectly.
All our pieces are high-fired Cone 6 stoneware. This basically means they’re fired really hot to be durable and water-tight. We use our own lead-free glazes, with earthy, matte finishes like Sage Green that play really well against vibrant leaves.
Since we’re a small studio in Koramangala, we don’t mass-produce anything. Every piece is born from a bit of studio chaos, so you’re getting something one-of-a-kind. If you have a specific plant that needs a specific home, feel free to ask about custom sizing. Just don't blame us if you end up wanting to collect everything on our shelf!
