The right planter is like the perfect frame for a piece of art. I source a wide range of planters to match your home’s style, including handmade ceramics, rustic terracotta, and sustainable cane baskets. Let’s find the perfect home for your new plant babies.
I love collaborating with local artisans. These rustic, minimal planters are from the "Desert Sands" collection, handmade by Veena from The Pottery Room. They pair so beautifully with classic Philodendrons and Peperomias.
Baskets and plants are a perfect match. Here, we've created a simple tabletop arrangement with a few small plants in a round cane tray. It's an easy way to group plants together and create a green centerpiece.
How cute are these little planters with feet and eyes? They add a touch of personality and fun to your plant collection. They're perfect for a small desk plant or succulent.
Using a woven cane basket as a planter cover is a great way to add texture and warmth to your decor. It hides the plastic nursery pot and instantly elevates the look of this large Marble Queen Pothos.
A rectangular wicker basket is perfect for creating a mini-garden on a tabletop or console. We've combined a Spider Plant, a Calathea, and a Pothos for a mix of textures and colors.
This assortment of indoor plants in a square basket looks great as a centerpiece on this wooden pillar. It shows how you can use plants to decorate even unconventional spaces.
A simple basket holding a mix of Neon and Marble Queen Pothos. The contrast between the bright lime green and the variegated white leaves is so striking.
The soft pink and green stripes of this Tradescantia Nanouk look so lovely against this pastel blue ceramic bowl. Choosing a planter that complements the plant's colors can really make it pop.
This rustic, textured brown planter provides a beautiful, earthy contrast to the bright yellow and green variegation of the Golden Pothos.
This tall, red-and-white striped planter is a statement piece on its own. Paired with a trailing N'Joy Pothos, it creates a really dynamic and eye-catching display.
About Creative Planters & Baskets
The right pot is more than just a piece of decor. Most store-bought planters look pretty but lack drainage, which is a fast track to root rot. When we pick your planters, I prioritize plant health first—making sure every pot has the right drainage setup or liner so your plant babies thrive, not just survive.
Choosing the Right Home for Your Plants
Many of us fall in love with a ceramic pot at the store, only to realize later that it doesn't have a drainage hole. While I love a good aesthetic, I won't recommend a pot that risks your plant's life. We can always work with decorative covers or smart drainage layers to give you that look without the risk.
My Go-To Materials
- Handmade Ceramics: I love collaborating with local artisans like Veena from The Pottery Room. These pieces have character and texture that you just don't find in mass-produced options. They are heavy, stable, and excellent for moisture-loving plants.
- Rustic Terracotta: This is the OG for a reason. It is breathable and perfect for succulents or plants that hate sitting in soggy soil. I often use these for my balcony setups.
- Cane & Rattan Baskets: These are my favorite way to hide plastic nursery pots. They add warmth and texture to a room instantly. Plus, they are lightweight and sustainable. I usually place a saucer inside the basket to catch any water runoff.
Styling Tips
- Grouping: If you have small plants, don't scatter them. Grouping them in a cane tray or a shallow basket creates a 'mini-jungle' look that makes much more impact than a single lonely pot on a shelf.
- Height Matters: Use plant stands or stacked baskets to create levels. This helps plants get better light and makes your green corner look intentional, not cluttered.
- Sustainability: Whenever possible, I try to repurpose or use upcycled materials. If you have an old wooden crate or a unique vessel, let’s see if we can turn it into a planter. It’s better for the planet and tells a much better story.
