Hard work creates champions. These moments capture my students pushing their limits and taking home medals at state and national events like the Khelo India League.

About Our Champions: Medals & Achievements

A medal is just the final few minutes of months of discipline. Before winning at the Khelo India League, my students like Ritika and Anushka spend hours on sparring drills, mastering electronic scoring, and learning how to avoid 'gamjum' penalties. It is the steady practice in our Janakpuri dojang that turns raw effort into these podium finishes.

From The Dojang To The Podium

Many parents ask me if their child is ready for competition. My answer is always the same: if they have the discipline to show up and work, they have the potential to win. Competition Taekwondo is not just about physical strength; it is a mental game that requires deep tactical knowledge.

The Path To Competition

When we prepare for events like the Asmita Khelo India League, the training changes. We move away from basic forms and focus on high-intensity Kyorugi.

  • Electronic Scoring: We train specifically for modern electronic hogu (chest guards) to ensure our hits register.
  • Gamjum Avoidance: Students learn how to move without stepping out of bounds or gripping, which costs points.
  • Tactical Sparring: We use kicking paddles and reaction drills to speed up reflexes, focusing on point-scoring moves like the roundhouse kick.

Why Discipline Matters

Training for a medal is tough. It requires cutting nails, wearing the correct dobok, bowing to seniors, and respecting the dojang rules. This discipline follows them onto the mat during a match. When the pressure is high and the crowd is loud, it is the fundamental habits—like keeping your hands up and breathing—that win matches, not just raw aggression.

If you are looking for a place where your child will learn to win, but more importantly, learn to work hard and stay humble, this is the right place.
