About Competition Sparring (Kyorugi)

Sparring is where we move past basic kicks to real-time strategy. It is not just about hitting hard; it is about point management, controlling your distance, and knowing when to use a back kick versus a roundhouse. We focus on teaching students to think during the fight so they can avoid 'gamjum' (penalties) and land clean, high-scoring strikes.
