About Flexibility & Body Control
Most people treat flexibility as an afterthought, but in fighting, it is your first line of defense. When I teach a student to perform a proper chakrasana, I am not teaching them circus tricks. I am teaching them to open their chest, strengthen their spine, and gain the core control necessary to absorb hits without injury. You need to understand that a stiff fighter is a slow fighter. If your body cannot move freely, you cannot execute the techniques we practice on the pads.
I come to your home, rooftop, or local park, and we strip away the fluff of fancy gyms. We use gymnastics fundamentals to build a body that listens to your mind. My sessions focus on three pillars: mobility, strength, and spatial awareness.
Why focus on flexibility?
- Injury Prevention: Tight muscles tear under impact. We loosen the fascia and lengthen the muscles, so you don't pull something during a simple movement.
- Performance: A deeper range of motion means more power in your roundhouse kicks and better defensive slips. If your hips are tight, your power is capped.
- Spinal Health: For the kids and adults I train, maintaining a strong, flexible spine is vital. We work on backbends and controlled movements that counteract the 'desk hunch' most people live with.
My Method
I bring the floor mats and the discipline. We work on dynamic movements rather than just static holding. You will learn to use your own body weight to challenge your limits. It is not going to be comfortable, and you will have to push past the 'I cannot' phase. Whether you are in Tilak Nagar, Janakpuri, or anywhere in Delhi NCR, my goal remains the same. I want you to walk out with a body that is durable, agile, and ready for any challenge, whether that is on the mat or in daily life.
