I don't teach poses just for flexibility. In my studio, we use asanas to calm an overthinking mind, release stress, and find stillness.

I believe that specific yoga poses can directly impact your mental state. In this video, I demonstrate ten powerful asanas that I use to improve focus, boost memory, and enhance overall brain function.

True happiness comes when we stop comparing our joy to others. Here, I flow through a sequence of asanas including Virabhadrasana (Warrior Pose) and Trikonasana (Triangle Pose), reminding us to find contentment within our own practice and our own life.

Yoga has the power to align your mind, heart, and body, which can double the speed of your progress in any area of life. This video shows a few foundational poses like Shashankasana (Child's Pose) that help create that inner alignment and peace.

A simple animation showing how yoga and meditation work together to combat depression. I demonstrate Virabhadrasana II (Warrior II) and Utthita Parsvakonasana (Extended Side Angle Pose), two powerful asanas for building strength and stability.

Many people think of cardio as running, but the 24-count Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) is my personal favorite for weight loss and overall wellness. It burns calories, reduces anxiety, and makes the body flexible, reducing the risk of injury.

Vajrasana, or Thunderbolt Pose, is a simple but powerful asana. As explained by spiritual masters, sitting in this pose while drinking water can aid digestion, calm the mind, and even support brahmacharya (celibacy).

Many people ask if yoga is permissible in Islam. If you look closely, the movements of Namaz are very similar to yogic asanas like Tadasana, Uttanasana, and Vajrasana. Yoga, when practiced for health, can be a gift for anyone, regardless of faith.

You don't need to find God only in a temple. You can find that connection in nature, in the sky, or within your own body through practice. Here I am in a deep backbend, a posture of opening the heart to the divinity that is all around us.

Meditation doesn't give you answers; it helps you lose your questions. Here, I practice an arm balance, a pose that requires complete focus and presence. This level of concentration is a form of meditation in itself, leading to a state of wisdom.

The Shivling is not just an idol; it symbolizes the inner flame of consciousness. Poses like Halasana (Plow Pose), shown here, help direct our prana (life force energy) inward, preparing the body to awaken that inner light.

About Asanas: Poses for a Centered Mind

People often mistake yoga for just stretching, but here, I use asanas as a way to hit the reset button on your brain. Whether it is Vajrasana to calm your nerves after a long day or the 24-count Surya Namaskar to burn off that anxious energy, every pose is a specific intervention. It is not about perfect form, but about what happens inside when you hold the shape.

Yoga is not a performance

If you are struggling with a scattered mind or that constant hum of stress, the problem is rarely just in your head; it is in your body's refusal to be still.

My Approach to Asanas

My sessions, especially at the Vasudevam Play School studio in Rohini, focus on psychosomatic relief. We use props like wall ropes and bolsters not to make the pose look good, but to allow your nervous system to drop its guard. When your body is supported, the mind follows.

Why This Works

  • For Anxiety: Poses like Shashankasana are non-negotiable for my students. They force your center of gravity down and tell your brain it is safe to stop running.
  • For Focus: An arm balance is not just strength; it is total presence. If your mind wanders, you fall. This is how we train attention.
  • For Energy: I teach a 24-count Surya Namaskar. It is not the standard flow you see online. It is high-intensity, metabolic, and designed to flush out that stuck feeling of 'dopamine loops' that keep you scrolling and restless.

My classes are small, capped at 10-15 people, so I can give you the hands-on corrections you need. We are not here to win a competition. We are here to align the breath, the heart, and the posture so you can actually handle your life without burning out.
